Guest MK1gaz Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 I'm sure all these thieving barstewards have been caught before by plod and had fingerprints taken etc . So why won't the police dust down your car or garage when it gets ransacked then ? I've had 2 garages ransacked , bikes stolen , cars stripped etc etc and not even once has a copper been bothered about it or come round . You'll see 10 of them standing in a doorway watching the bus lane though !!!!!!!!!
zetecmk2 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 this seems to be going anti-police instead of anti-thief!!! one lot are regulated and the others regulate themselves!! pccapri's got the right idea!
Guest MK1gaz Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 I'm not anti-police , i'm just puzzled why they don't think an honest working mans garage or car is worth bothering with that's all mate . I understand that it will mean doing what they're paid for (solving crime) and will stop them hounding motorists in the city centre and collecting easy money but we pay them with our taxes to "serve and protect" us don't we ?
Mrs O/H/C Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 ANOTHER FRIEND OF OURS WHO LIVES IN CARSHALTON AND IS NOT ON OSF HAS HAD HIS GARAGE VANDALISED IN AN ATTEMPT TO BREAK IN !! THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY AFTER HIS OSF !!! HE LIVES CLOSE TO WHERE THE ESCORT WAS STOLEN FROM !!!!!!!!
FredTransit Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 As for the country going down hill, it's not down to the government to improve things it's down to everyone and every parent, I dont go out thieving because I was afraid of the police, these days you hear of parents siding with their kids not the police, what chance do the police have in those instances? There isn't a chance in hell of that happening. The Goverment need to give police back powers they should have already. There was a day when the police were respected by a good percentage of the country, and that wasn't too long ago. Nowadays it's the complete opposite, people have no respect for the police because they have no faith in the police. Why? Because the stupid goverment have put procedures in places that means that the offender has more rights than the victim. There was a time if you caught someone doing something seriously wrong and intervened you would get a pat on the back from the police. These days you would probably be the one charged. And this is what's called human rights? To get human rights you should 1st need to act like a civil human being. If you go onto someones property and try to steal something of theirs you should forfeit all your Human Rights because that is not the way a civil human being acts. Bring back the Bobbies on the beat in their 1000's and give them powers and resources that they can use. Compulsory National Service should be brought back too, but thats another story!!! Very good point, very well put, and I agree 100%. The majority of coppers want to do more, but who would if they were going to get charged/sued/assaulted?
flyingbanana Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 I'm sure all these thieving barstewards have been caught before by plod and had fingerprints taken etc . So why won't the police dust down your car or garage when it gets ransacked then ? ring 999 and they have to respond to the call , my next door neighbour got broken into he rang 999 and it got dusted for finger prints!......simple...but most of them prob wear gloves anyway

I understand that it will mean doing what they're paid for (solving crime) and will stop them hounding motorists in the city centre and collecting easy money but we pay them with our taxes to "serve and protect" us don't we ? So full circle back to the government - they set targets where by the Police justify their existance by solving X number of crimes and filling in X number of forms in triplicate, therefore easy to give JohnnyH a criminal record and get the stats up, but not so easy to solve a theft or burgulary!! Potty!! Did anyone see the watchdog?? where the police admitted it was easier to arrest a teenager with some pot on him than actually catch a criminal or solve a crime, so this is what they're reduced to now - the easy pull - not crime fighting!

Mick The Cabbie Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 An Anglia Van has been nicked from Boston, Lincs recently. Its a very early 1961 example. The guy had only owned it for a few weeks. Just done loads of work to get it up & running and MOT'd. It's standard, in dark blue with signwriting on the sides. I spotted the story today whilst flicking through a copy of Classic Van in W. H Smiths.
Copey Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 i think i am gonna be removing my location, might be an idea for those who have a location to remove it too!!

jed Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 i think its obvious these people move in the same circles as ourselves to know where these cars are. the chances are there are people on the site that know these people without realising what they are up to cos they seem to know where the people and there cars are anybody got an opinion on this...
mk2 stu Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 OK what i wanna know is how this shogun pikey has visited all our garages in the surrey area? How does he know we got osf's and is he working with someone? We got to stick together, regardless of peoples opinions of old bill we cant do alot without them, so lets keep eyes peeled stay in contact and hope we catch him before all our prides and joy are stolen
d_bizzle Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 It's making me paranoid. There was an Irish guy with a ponytail standing near my garage on his mobile earlier on. Could have been anyone, to be honest. But I couldn't leave until he'd left...
zetecmk2 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 wise! redhill/merstham has no shortage of pikeys, had a bit of grief in that area myself!

MexDan Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I have put a post up on the british rally forum just incase they come across any of these cars that have gone missing. I know a few guys on the historic rally championship circuit and they are on the lookout to!!
RFChris Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I was at Lakeside in Essex yesterday and when i came of of Argo there was a chap properly eyeing up my Capri. When i got closer i said "y'allright there mate?" and he just bolted. Weird. Although, he really didn't look like he could muster the intelligence required to open a door, let alone steal my car. Chris
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Although, he really didn't look like he could muster the intelligence required to open a door, let alone steal my car. Chris Neither does the average chav, but they still manage it.

Its easy, just set yourself up as joe foooking pikey clampers and write to the DVLA asking for the details of all cars that are registered in the uk. the DVLA then asks for money and then sends you names and addresses. all you would need is the registration to the car you are after and then just go around and what the address for a while. most of us post pictures of our cars with the registrations nice and clear.
escort greg Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 The best thing to do is resister the car in your name to your parents or relatives address thats what i do...no getting traced that way
