I have had nothing from the police and so tomorrow morning this is going to become a mission for me to get them to stand up and listen. Thanks to the people who have PM'd me with similar stories in the Ewell/Sutton areas of what sounds like the same bunch of thieves. Right then .... to help our cause. Please PM me with any information which fits the description of these guys and the Shogun. Please try to be specific with the information because it will add to our case and please try to remember the day/date/time and your story. I WILL get the police to take this seriously but we need good information please Thanks boys and girls. In the meantime, take any extra precautions that you can - improved security lighting, security locks, chains and mahoosive fook off padlocks around the axle, removing essential parts .... anything that will make this as difficult as possible for them because it seems that they are prepared to go to very extreme measures to get at the cars. Seals2 Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 hi everyone hadnt had a chance to get on here proper for a while so jus reading wats been going on, this may sound a long shot but this is mainly to all the members who have pictures of their pride and joys on here. pikeys can get any info they want, dont know how but they do!! so as much as taking the location of your profile you also need to blank out the reg plates in the pictures cause them tossers wil most prob have access to the database's which most cars are located at the address on the logbook/ insurance. so i think we might be better getting thous covered. i know we cant do anything when driving them on the road but if they are using our site then it may slow them down and help us find them. and make sure you dont park your cars up in silly places. i.e where not much people walk/drive near.

Cookie Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 I'll back that up regarding police, when my recovery truck was pinched last summer they did'nt want to know, it was in the centre of cardiff surrounded by cctv and they would'nt even attempt to look at cctv to see who done it, even though we could give them an exact 1/2 hour timeframe!!!!!! Even when I had information that it had been painted a shitty shade of brown with the painted on signwriting still visible and it had been spotted several times in Newport (30 mins away) they just said there is nothing they can do! pisses me off that they can find time to have 20 bodies and a dozen vehicles sitting around at the side of the road ready to pounce if you have'nt paid your tax but can't be arsed to do some real policing and at least make an attempt to find my truck, my livelyhood , something I relied on to pay my way in my honest life!!!!!!!!! On the subject of being scared, the amount of times a police car has gone into the gyppo site and been smashed up it's un real!, not being funny but if they have no respect it's no wonder they don'nt get fook all done, they are the biggest gang in the world, the police, so why when they get hit don't they hit back harder?????? maybe there may be a bit of actual crime dterrent then.. On the subject of these thefts I truly believe there is only one way, and the police aint it, these scummy pr*ck speak and understand one language and thats the one that has been used since the begining of human beings. I know that raises a whole host of problems of it's own, but you'll never get anywhere with any other method I hate to say!

Probably not - that's probably detective work, traffic deal with speeding and tax etc i suspect. I agree police don't deserve a torent of abuse but the reponse or lack of to Jo is kind of how we all feel. We had our lawn mower nicked, and they actually said to my mum - "and if you replace it they'll come back and steal the new one too" - Brilliant and we pay them for what??? They rarely find the nicked stuff, they almost always ask "are you insured" which means if you are it doesn't seem to matter if they look for it or not. As for the country going down hill, it's not down to the government to improve things it's down to everyone and every parent, I dont go out thieving because I was afraid of the police, these days you hear of parents siding with their kids not the police, what chance do the police have in those instances? There isn't a chance in hell of that happening. The Goverment need to give police back powers they should have already. There was a day when the police were respected by a good percentage of the country, and that wasn't too long ago. Nowadays it's the complete opposite, people have no respect for the police because they have no faith in the police. Why? Because the stupid goverment have put procedures in places that means that the offender has more rights than the victim. There was a time if you caught someone doing something seriously wrong and intervened you would get a pat on the back from the police. These days you would probably be the one charged. And this is what's called human rights? To get human rights you should 1st need to act like a civil human being. If you go onto someones property and try to steal something of theirs you should forfeit all your Human Rights because that is not the way a civil human being acts. Bring back the Bobbies on the beat in their 1000's and give them powers and resources that they can use. Compulsory National Service should be brought back too, but thats another story!!!

Exactly right. My experience comes from serving for almost a decade in the army and also work as plain clothes store detective. I had to deal with the police all the time and due to the lack of power they have most of them don't want to get involved with anything other than simple arrests. National service for under-qualified school leavers SHOULD be compulsory. It WILL sort this country out and teach the kids respect and self belief!
