ive just been looking at the escorts in the back of classic ford, and blimey cheapest two door is 8600, and the 1.3 in bedford is just crazy. id rather spend me money on the converted to rwd mk3. i hate scene tax :(

about 2200 quid for an RS 2000 new but thats appreciation for ya about 8000 quid now :thumbsup:

 

8K is cheap for a good RS these days. There was a 1.3 sport on the bay recently, went to £8,350 and still didn't reach the reserve :shock:

my car was bought in croyford an i have the billl of sale an it was £2,180 plus £25 for undersealer and £8 for a full tank of petrol that was a 1100 popular plus!!! :mrgreen:

I have the original bill of sale for my RS Custom - £5000

 

I thought that was a bit steep for 1979

think when im finished im gonna hose it all over with thick wax and wash it off in another ten years time to flog it :-D

VERY good point. It's the same with Mk1 transits. BUT, even when they are wheeling me off to the home, I couldn't bear to be parted from ours.
