4parajon Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Following on from a bit of banter I had with Gaz on Friday about who had the comfiest road car I reckon its mine. I have the standard Recaro Carla check interior with the only other non standard Ford items (for my car anyway) being the 4 spoke RS steering wheel and a fire extinguisher (which I hope I never have to use). Gaz even has a roll cage in his which surely is cheating for the "Who has the Comfiest Car"
john_3.0s Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 my granada is way more comfy than any escort or capri i have ever ownded (or still own). big old sofa style seats, all round independant suspension etc etc glides over the bumps and cruises up the motorway better than my new-ish mondeo

I have leather original Recaros, carpets, sound deadening, heater, RS steering wheel and Mobile phone holder with earpiece so I can chat to the missus on way home from meets and order dinner ... But I do take seats out when drag racing and my new 1 box exhaust makes so much noise on the motorway I think I need earplugs before I suffer from noise induced hearing loss...

No heater, no carpets, no soundproofing, hard bucket seats you can't adjust, that give you a dead arse after driving it for 10 minutes.... Oh, did you say the most COMFORTABLE....? I don't care if it is uncomfortable, I get a buzz everytime I drive it.

Copey Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 have the standard lazer seats re-padded and a full re-trim in leather, very nice seats, can sit in them for hours and not get a numb bum, also got a workin heater

BTW i had Carla check Recaros in my last 3.0S and found them to be rock hard , standard Carla check sports seats in my current 3.0S are comfier. Maybe i'm getting old , especially as i've driven the Granny with my slippers on

antz Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 my interior is as it rolled out the factory except for the fire extinguisher, extra air vent mounted rev counter and a 3 spoke rs steering wheel. i never get a numb arse on teh way to meets after all i do have the luxurious ghia refinements
