Not allowed to rinse my mouth out until tomorrow apparently. It was done an hour ago and they gave me some lint wadding stuff to bite on but on the explanation sheet they gave me it said it should stop bleeding after about 30 mins but may still "weep" .... euuuwww - fookin horrible

Ahhh Jo that's not nice. I'm supposed to have one of my back teeth (not wisdom) taken out and I keep putting it off because the dentist said it was pretty deep last time he filled it

One? is that it? i had 4 done in one go.... under a local not general, it hurt a lot and you can hear all the cracking as they come out...

i bet you look like a hamster now, i did for a good few weeks.

i was told to rinse mouth with warm salt water for two weeks afterwards, which tasted lovely i must say.

Had all mine out at once under a general in hospital years ago. they said did I want to do them at the dentist's two at a time, or get it over with? I said get it over and not be awake! They can do what they like if I am not awake, that having said I only have one filling and hall my teeth except the wisdom teeth. Get well soon Jo.

I had my two upper ones out about 13 years ago. My sister was a dental assistant and said the upper ones are a doddle to get out. Lower ones are a bit troublesome.

I went back into work with the padding, a numb face and I was dribbling occasionally, and I got called into a meeting with some customers. That was fun

Had my lower ones out in Hospital about 12 years ago. Having not eaten since midnight the night before, I was famished when I came out from under the General Anaesthetic. The other two blokes turned down the sandwiches they were offered (also wisdom teeth out) so I ate theirs as well as mine  Blood everywhere but I was so hungry I didn't give a toss

the blood just gives you that black pudding sort of flavour in the background

Only had the one out this time because it was growing at the wrong angle and would have affected the tooth next to it .... I have been avoiding it for a year but on the last check up a few weeks ago he did an x-ray and said "it's gotta go". Asked if I wanted all 4 done (bearing in mind that NONE of them give me any trouble at all) and I politely declined and said I'd have the one done if i must :lol:

Still bleeding a bit and it tastes disgusting

And Mike is right ... the extraction didn't hurt but you can hear and feel the cracking through your skull :shock:
