Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 19, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 19, 2008 I just had one taken out and now I am feeling sorry for myself and it won't stop bleeding
Durham Fiesta Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 nightmare . I had 3 taken out last year on the same day so know how your feeling. It only lasts a few days then its all worth the pain. Did they not give you some manky mouth wash to help rinse the blood etc away
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 19, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted May 19, 2008 Not allowed to rinse my mouth out until tomorrow apparently. It was done an hour ago and they gave me some lint wadding stuff to bite on but on the explanation sheet they gave me it said it should stop bleeding after about 30 mins but may still "weep" .... euuuwww - fookin horrible
sab6024 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Ahhh Jo that's not nice. I'm supposed to have one of my back teeth (not wisdom) taken out and I keep putting it off because the dentist said it was pretty deep last time he filled it
X-pack-Glyn Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 One? is that it? i had 4 done in one go.... under a local not general, it hurt a lot and you can hear all the cracking as they come out... i bet you look like a hamster now, i did for a good few weeks. i was told to rinse mouth with warm salt water for two weeks afterwards, which tasted lovely i must say.
marky4 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 not nice jo mandy had 2 out last year so i know it hurts hope you feel better soon
FredTransit Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Had all mine out at once under a general in hospital years ago. they said did I want to do them at the dentist's two at a time, or get it over with? I said get it over and not be awake! They can do what they like if I am not awake, that having said I only have one filling and hall my teeth except the wisdom teeth. Get well soon Jo.
Trevmk3 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 just pour some lemon juice in your mouth jo, that'll sort it
mk1super Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I feel your pain Jo. Wisdom teeth being pulled infact any teeth being tugged out = Pain
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I had my two upper ones out about 13 years ago. My sister was a dental assistant and said the upper ones are a doddle to get out. Lower ones are a bit troublesome. I went back into work with the padding, a numb face and I was dribbling occasionally, and I got called into a meeting with some customers. That was fun
Admin Vista Posted May 19, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 19, 2008 Had my lower ones out in Hospital about 12 years ago. Having not eaten since midnight the night before, I was famished when I came out from under the General Anaesthetic. The other two blokes turned down the sandwiches they were offered (also wisdom teeth out) so I ate theirs as well as mine Blood everywhere but I was so hungry I didn't give a toss
Trevmk3 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 the blood just gives you that black pudding sort of flavour in the background
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 19, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted May 19, 2008 Only had the one out this time because it was growing at the wrong angle and would have affected the tooth next to it .... I have been avoiding it for a year but on the last check up a few weeks ago he did an x-ray and said "it's gotta go". Asked if I wanted all 4 done (bearing in mind that NONE of them give me any trouble at all) and I politely declined and said I'd have the one done if i must Still bleeding a bit and it tastes disgusting And Mike is right ... the extraction didn't hurt but you can hear and feel the cracking through your skull
Pipster007 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Still bleeding a bit and it tastes disgusting So are you spitting or swallowing Ps, I had all 4 yanked out when I was 15
Chelle Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Mate that ain't right! Mum says it shouldn't still be bleeding lol!
radar tech Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 i had all four of mine taken out in an emergancy operation a few years ago . Worst pain i have ever experiancd in my life

MK5 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 i had a molar pulled 3 years ago... it bled for 24 hours and i had to have it stitched
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 20, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted May 20, 2008 I'm okay this morning .... stopped bleeding now and trying hard not to put my tongue in the hole Not eaten yet though so starting to get a bit peckish don't want to get food in the hole
mossy Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 One? is that it? i had 4 done in one go.... under a local not general, it hurt a lot and you can hear all the cracking as they come out... i bet you look like a hamster now, i did for a good few weeks. i was told to rinse mouth with warm salt water for two weeks afterwards, which tasted lovely i must say. same here....although i remember sitting in the chair and counting, then waking up a day later!
