I love most of em but the mk1 escy is always going to be my favorite. The design is so simple but looks so right. One word "Dogbone" To be honest I havent driven many other old skool fords but I love how the MK1 handles. I had my first Mk1 in 89-91 when I was 16-18 and that was the best time of my life so far.

Hows about all of them?

Each OSF is different so difficult to say...........really depends what you want from it.

Rear drive Escorts are easily the most fun to drive and prety fine looking

Cortinas are what childhood memories are made of

For retro cool a fifties Zody is the best

but I think the best looker has to be the Consul Capri :D

mk2 escort 4door!

understated and a damn sight cooler than these common two door models!

plus it has just as much potential! 8)

All I remember is my Grandad's brown ghia, sorry m8 not sold, plus its modern

Mk1 escy 2-door or Anglia,

Anglia's just simple classic lines, loads of chrome, simple engineering but the first 'modern' ford in that it had a proper kent engine, radical when it was released and still talked about, fantastic for cruising and can be really pukka when modified, and everyone loves it wherever you go or whatever its had done.

Mk1 escy; check out the colour charts!!! Daytona yellow, phoenix orange, modena green! So cool and looks fantastic, plus it has the incredible story; it was only meant to be a shopping trolley and a handful of guys realised its potential nd made something of legend, completely changing ford's outlook on motorsports links with the public, and creating awesome motors like the twin cam, Mex, RS 2000 & 1600, it won races on track and was ideal for rallying, plus it has fantastic shapes from wherever you look and the agressive dog bone grille. MK1 for me.

mk2 rs2000 slammed on 7 rs 4 spokes,ranging pinto 45s nowt better than that to me 8)

I concur sir....even though I own a Capri which I love. Its's the only car I would sell the Capri to own :D

Well, I could say my two, but that would be to easy & biased!

Obviously I love the Capri, I wanted one ever since I could remember.

The RS200 was just awesome, but I loved watching Group B rallying when I was a lad!

3 Door Cosworth RS500, that is because I loved watching the Texaco Sierra's race.

The Zakspeed Capri's, still amazes me how they got so much power from a relativley small engine!

Consul/Classic Capri's, because they are very underrated & rare!

BUT, for historical reasons it has to be the Anglia, because if I am right in saying, the Anglia was responsible for Kieth Duckworth & Mike Costin (Cosworth) teaming up with Ford due to their tuning of the old 997cc Kent Pre Crossflow engine with alot of success!!!

And The Rest, as they say, Is History!

I love Escorts and Capris (through prefereably mk1's in both models)

But my vote would have to be for the Mk1 Granada Coupe.

Why? Because it has a good engine that's plenty tuneable, it's rare, it was the first European production Ford to carry the Turin based luxury coachbuilders Ghia badge, and lastly because Ford have never tried to do it again.

Blimey Tim, how many corners does your escort have? never knew you could get 7 RS 4-spokes on a Escy?
