Went out for a "cruise" (read thrash) last night and all of a sudden I see headlights in the rear view. They were low and bright but you're never really sure so I waited till we came into a street light area......

It was a Caterham with a bloke wearing a crash hat so I thought "what shall we do here......!" :mrgreen:

At a safe place, I postioned myself so we could both turn onto an uphill slip road onto a dual carriageway side by side. I crawled forwards so he could positon himself - to keep it fair :twisted: .

He stabbed his throatle and I heard the scream of a motorbike engine light up his tyres, I clutched mine in 1st to bring it up on the cam and lost almost no ground, by the time we were merging with the carriage way I was on him, and then past him in the outside lane.

As we neared the roundabout at the end of the carriageway I braked a bit early so he could get along side and we could "thumbs up"

He opened his visor and shouted across, "what's in that!!???"

I couldn't help smile in the warmth of my heated, carpetted interior with a feeling of OSF 1 Caterham 0, and told him - A crossflow!! (there was no point being pedantic!!)

'Comfy'

:lol::lol::lol:

He sounds like a good driver to race against – slowing down to acknowledge, probably someone who’s interested in cars, etc…

I have to admit to purposely looking for an appropriate to race against on A roads/ A road traffic lights………. and then also slow down again at about 80-90 or the next roundabout (safety first :mrgreen: ).

Nice one - made me smile anyway… :thumbsup::thumbsup:
