I went to Pod yesterday for the night race, but it was like everyone was in Malta!!

I nearly equalled my previous PB of 12.58 with a 12.59, it melted a plug in 3rd though so we drilled the jets, replaced the plug and then something broke in the gearbox so game over...

Great weather though, nice to see John, Karren, Puddy, Mike, Billy and Kev.

Did you know you can have a Jacket potato and chilli at Pod and it's very nice! I must be getting old!

Thanks to Dave and Tom for your help and the drills, you have everthing!!

Thanks for the master cylinder too Dave.

Have I thanked the cat?

Billy has fitted a new engine in a lovely looking Mk1 Escort and had run a 13.3 on road tyres, and Kev was keepnig it real for the Tina's - Hopefully we will hear more on their return...

Thanks all (cat too  )

I think that's my season over, the gearbox will be major, Joseph in Malta said I would break the main shaft near 3rd gear and it lost drive in 3rd so it's my guess that's what's gone....but, in a gearbox it doesn't usually stop at one "little" thing breaking :dope::ykt:

As you say Ed - or was it Arnie? I'll be back

Shame about the gearbox toby, sounded like it let go in 3rd?

Was deffo leaving the line the best I've ever seen it though

So where were all of the other old skool fords,a very disappointing

turn out compared to previous night meets.

Yes mate - 3rd. They are all in Malta I believe...

It was a gluey old track - I thought I wheelied but wasn't fast enough to get out and look :lol:

Well done mate, i only saw the run you lunched the gearbox in 3rd.

Next time you come mate i'll bring the very very nice drill set. he he

I spoke to Ian Marshall about the track and they said they were trying a new/old glue mix and were very pleased.

I also run a pb of 13.2 in my R5 on street tyres.

Those drills have a lot to answer for.

Hmm shame OSF’s were a bit light on the ground…. I know rumours were around about ¼ mile queues – what were the queues like???

I may well have gone but not sure if anyone posted or it was something I personally missed….
