Col-ashtonmobile Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Right then....i'm just going to try something here.... Because there is an Anglia on the cover, you assume it's all Anglias? Ignoring the Capri's and the Escorts and the show reports which are in there. Some of you, you know who you are, are so fu.ucking quick and desperate to get a little dig in that you forget to actually look properly. And you're just as bad Phillips; yeah, an Editor, on the cover, actually contributing to the magazine, not just freelancing it all out. And as for the rest of you, you're only having a dig because you know Bob, and you know Marty and you know Ben, and while you'd never actually admit it, you think, or at least you wish you could do better. But itnstead of looking at it as the great feature that it is you have to slam it, before you've probably even looked at it and for some odd reason, take it all very personally. And before anyone chimes in, this is my forum voice and my opinion. I'm no part of the mag anymore bar a few old features which have to be used up. I have nothing to gain from this, I just feel it has to be said, mainly becuase I couldn't say it when I was on the mag. Chris calm down mr pollitt, you dont need to defend anyone , i shall still buy the mag i love reading it , even if it,s got some of the o,jays on the cover this month
allsteel Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 It reminds me of early 70s HOT CAR mag cover. FTW
Wessie Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 TOP ISSUE, TOP MAG if you dont like it stop moaning
danny69 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Good Mag, as always I like the creative Front cover There is no harm in the editor being a little self indulgent from time to time, atleast you get a bit of the passion and the personal touch. But there is a good range of cars and I personally like to see the home builds and the old skool tuning that we have seen featured of late.
Daggle Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Best issue for a while, great cover too, top work
mk1super Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Another top issue! Good mixture of cars from Capris to Anglias and escorts too but then i admit iam bias
Boreham Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Graeme's Mk2 estate is a beauty.... the stance, wheels, colour, would have made a nice cover car...... but I did like the actual cover...... BROADSPEED BULLITS Excellent...
KEVSWAYV6 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Great issue, as always!! Great write up on the two Mk1 Broadspeed Capris....

Rose Darren , you are quite correct , i don't know the whole story , in fact i know none of it . It just seems to me that recently anytime Ben is mentioned , a lot of snidey digs and sarcastic comments are made to which , i assume , he can't answer in a way he would like to due to his professional position . Looking from the outside in and not knowing any of the 'history' it came across as a touch of envy for which i apologise if i'm wrong

MM77 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 Fooking love RF. It was RF which made me rush out and buy my first Esci the same w/e. Bit of a hasty purchase in hindsight, but RF was solely responsible for returning me to the OSF scene. Top work Ben, keep it up mate. Love it
happysnappy Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 Top issue as usual By far the best fordy mag.
Wessie Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 retro ford's a great magazine and used to feature alot of OSF cars but now ben, bob, marty and even neil who all used to be big parts of OSF, arent on here anymore, i can see why thanks to all the bitchy comments and moaning on here nowadays
DEP Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 retro ford's a great magazine and used to feature alot of OSF cars but now ben, bob, marty and even neil who all used to be big parts of OSF, arent on here anymore, i can see why thanks to all the bitchy comments and moaning on here nowadays Yes your right mate, Retro Ford did use to feature lots of OSF cars, in fact, i think its safe to say that 70 % of the mag used to be OSF, which we were grateful for the publicity, but on the other side, if it wasn't for OSF, R/F wouldn't be where it was today, As for the members mentioned, they are still on here, maybe they dont post anymore but still take an interest, some of them using aliases
Mk 1 Mark Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Know the guys who work on the mag. And know alot of the guys on this site. Excellent Mag, Excellent Site.... Lets just leave the the playground stuff for the playground!! It reminds me on Hornswoggle doing stand up Its not big and very funny Feel the luvvv
