100eStoo Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Finally thored my engine out today and got the car back together. Decided to go for a little spin on my own, had a great little drive with the car going great but about half way through the burn an oldskool American Trans-Am pulled out behind me and began to play, so i thought the round ones to it i might as well play along too! It must have looked so funny, a little Pop burnin along with a massive american hot rod in close pursuit?! He followed me all the way back to my folks and we ended up havin a good chat and a look at each others motors, which got me thinkin, whats the funniest thing thats joined in with you when you're out on a burn?
stevepeanut Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I was tearing around in my toyota supra once and got followed by this huge black guy driving a punto. He was right on my arse and I thought I was in trouble. I pulled over at a shop and turned out he owned a supra too and we ended up having a good old chat
Copey Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 once had a pretty boy in a convertable BMW follow me home after he couldnt overtake me on a bypass and the first words he said "how the fook is that thing so fast?"

Mick The Cabbie Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I was out and about taking these very pics back in 1993ish. Got followed home unknowingly by some thieving scumb who planned on comming back to steal it that night. Luckily someone known to them tipped off the plod whom then came knocking on my door to inform me of the planned theft. I deliberately left the car out on the drive that night and had an all night vigil with a couple of mates. Needless to say, the pikey fookers never showed up. A couple o years ago, I was out in the old Mk1 Mex. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and I was making loads of noise and scaring all the old ladies in my local town. I didn't quite get followed home but did get followed a short way to the filling station by a police patrol car. He waited nearby whilst I filled up (I was thinking "here we go" ..) I jumped back in and drove away a little more carefully/quietly. Of course, he followed. He pulled alongside at the next set of lights and made "a wind down your window" gesture. He then sat there as the lights changed red/green/red a good few times and proceeded to show huge interest in the car and happily reminisced about the Mk1 RS2000 he owned back in the 80's. He even asked me if my car was standard or not and what I had been done to it etc etc. He never once questioned the way I'd been driving a few minutes earlier
YOUNGY Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 went round to the local shop in my old 2.9 4x4 jelly mould ghia estate, I ragged it down the road and a police car came flying up behind me so i towed it and he tried to follow me home. I pulled on the driveway got out and he said something to me, so i told him to fook off and i went in and slammed the door, he just walked off and got in his car. Believe it or not i didn't hear another thing.
BIG G Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 couple years back went out for spin a week or two before i taxed it for the summer just as a test for my work you know..... about a mile from home looked and saw this big T5 traffic car following me (lucky i have chocky brown) followed me around a while then i pulled up on the drive thinking about the points gonna be handed out and the fine. i jumped out walked up to him and he asked if i wanted to sell it when i said it was my pride and joy he said look after it and drove off...proper PHARP MOMENT
cisco24uk Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I was followed round town by a 'dynorod' orange and black Fiat cappuchino once with his noise blaring in the cherry bomb doing well then dropped the cappa into second and left him for dead.
antz Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 never been followed right home but ive chased an anglia around my local town one night. we had good fun
vibrating_Cake Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 ohhhh ive had a few!!!! there has been the obvious ones like, country road, blasting down and then as soon as we calm down (always go out in two's.... just in case) the random bmw/merc/plastic fantastic fiesta/focus st come and try overtake me...... obviousley the car got slammed in 2nd with me facing them (as the arse end of the car lurches to the left with wheelspin) up into 3rd and not one has had the balls (or power) to get past... there have been the scary ones (evo police car scooby etc) and funny ones pugeot 106's thinking they are rally boys.... bye bye!!
FredTransit Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Was out in me Mk1 crewcab beavertail on the M40 last week, and was followed by some bod in something plastic beeping and waving, to the point I though something had dropped off or was smoking! Eventually he pulled up in the middle lane and gave me the thumbs up! I forget what attention the Mk1 transits get.

zetecmk2 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 i've put posts on here before about my rides home, what i have noticed is kooltina raises more questions than the escort. had a lambo playing on the m23 a few months back, allways seems to end with a "thumbs up" out the window!! although, a couple of months ago, i got done by a corsa!!
radjay mk1 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 when i had my mk2 mex(2L,twin 40s,spax susp),had a tickford capri up my ring when i was out for a drive oneday,so gave it a bootfull but he could not keep up on the twisty roads so gave up,when i let him catch up, we stopped for a chat and he could not believe i got away from him! his face was a picture
