I plan on posting photos of California for ya guys, I'm driving my Cortina to my Dad's place in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. I HOPE I make it with no problems.

Any tips on stuff to bring for such a long run? I'm having trouble with getting our gas nozzles at the "petrol" stations to fit in the back, so I'm going to bring a gas can just in case, as my gauges are bust.

So with a little energon, and a lot luck, I'll be fulfilling California picture requests soon.:thumbsup:

Just under 6 hours or so, probably closer to 5 1/2 hours...

She stalled on me when I got off the "freeway" aka motorway to take a trip down the Santa Susana Pass, it's one of our most famous spots that people do shots for test drive shows, commercials and other types of stuff... Except with the budget crisis the road looks like absolute hell...

Here are some random shots of California and Nevada from the past couple months, and the trip from this week -

Also took some video of the trip up something we call the Grapevine, my Cortina looks like an ant next to some of the SUVs and freight trucks that were rolling up next to me. - This is the reason I want to update a lot of stuff on my car, suspension and brakes mostly - our roads are getting worse every day, and so are the drivers.

Here's a brief Wiki about the area, Manson used to live near the house!

Ha ha ha fat stig

Speed limit 55mph..I think I would die of boredom. The speedlimit on our normal roads is 60mph and 70mph on motorways but its fairly certain if you travel at 70mph everyone in the world will overtake you.

I think one guy got busted by the police for doing 179mph in a porsche

just wondering how much did that cost you in fuel?

looks like an awesome drive...as ant said when we did florida to the keys, the journey took so long due to the speed limit!
