to stripe, or not to stripe?

several people have said they think my car could do with stripes down the side rs2000 stylee i suppose

 

i'm not so sure but what do you lot think?

 

if i were to add stripes i'm not sure what colour would go well with silver

black?

gold?

blue?

orange?

 

any opinions?

In the early / mid 80's a friend of mine had a white 2 door 1300E with red RS2000 decals and it looked the business

I quite like it as it is, or a subtle pin stripe? Always personally prefered the look of a twin cam, to that of an RS or Mex with the bolder stripes etc.

black seems a popular choice - the rs2000 stripes would look mean! don't know how good they would look without the bonnet and boot bits

 

i do quite like the idea of a red mexico stripe (but without the mexico text)

 

i saw a really dark silvery grey mustang with orange stripes in retro cars mag a few months ago and that looked awesome

It needs something, if not stripes, then a front wing badge just to break it up.

 

Looking at the dimmutimedia pics, they are lovely. Perhaps a gunmetal grey tripe would look sweet with silver, either mex type or RS 2000
