Stu_B Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 ...are more fun than racing I've just been out stopping a few feet back from the line, slipping the clutch, stepping on the brake & letting those wheels spin... so much fun, especially when you're side by side with the local boy racers & modifieds I've come home before I get in trouble though Funniest moment was the 3 fat birds all tarted up for a night out almost jumping for cover, I think they thought I was gonna mount the kerb & squash 'em!
Mr Sam Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 i like giving it some wheel slippage down backroads, pop it in reverse then slam it in 1st
sambo Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 carefull mate, you'll get an ASBO. I did once for doing a 'wheelspin' on a roundabout. I thinkits a section 52 under the antisocial behaviour act or something.

When i turned round to the pig and said your a ******* ***** and your all filth he did me for reckless driving aswell, I havnt got the summons yet but it will be 6 points and hello expensive insurance. a section 59 is nothing really, a friend of mine has totalled 18 in 3 years. He just keeps paying the fine and getting his car back. Drifting on the roads is still cheaper than track days. I dont tend to stop anymore though
surrey_100e Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 iv recently been doing this ALOT ,just because i get bored in traffic, i dont think the people behind like it so much though as they cant see where they are going

BIGKEV Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Mouthing off to the old bill is never a good idea Getting caught in the first place isn't either when approaching roundabout look right, look left ...... what are you looking for? Old Bill thats what plenty of times I have come to my fave roundabout and have been ready to hang it out but if there is any plod type looking cars at all then I wont bother Just aint worth the hassle
zetecmk2 Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 i think you're all bad boys and girls!! no-one can condone this sort of behaviour on a public highway!! i really think if you want to drive like an idiot.........you deserve all you get!! in fact, as not to be tarred with the same brush....this summer i shall be putting a side valve in the escort!!

I thinkits a section 52 under the antisocial behaviour act or something. yeh section 52 2 strikes and you're out.. bye bye car hello biiiig fine section 59 round here mate, had 2 cars impounded cuz of it, a total of 5 section 59's on 3 different cars. £112 each time to get your car back also if there is one thing i have learned, if you have been caught redhanded by the old bill, best thing to do is swallow your pride, admit it and bumlick! if you co-operate and be nice, you tend to get less shit! last time i got pulled, someone had written on the back of my van "I am a twat" in all the soot up the back. the copper asked me if i knew about it and then said that it was "descriptive of my driving" i just sed nothing, i had 1 bald tyre, one spare on that was the wrong size, and the 2 on the back were cracked all the way around, he picked up on all 4 and sed he could give me 12 points. instead he decided to give me a chance to go and buy 4 tyres which i did!!

I bet mugging off to the old bill made you feel great, but by the sounds of things they got the last laugh. But then with your IQ, I suppose it's pretty much what you deserve.

Good flaming there Daggle and Paul you've just learnt that we have resident traffic / police officers, Daggle is just one of which and all of whom are welcome members of OSF. Me, my reasons for not doing burpouts wheelspins or any other such shenanigans are: a. to avoid the attention of the boys in blue and perhaps more importantly b. Tyres are just too damned expensive to waste by stripping them against the tarmac, especially these ones
EscortHeadCase Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Jesus what the hell is up with people today. Bring back the days when mouthing off the old bill would get you a smack. Use your head. Traffic laws are there to stop the single brain celled members of society killing themselves and innocent civilians. Why the hell would you have a go at someone when you know you got caught doing something you shouldnt. If you get caught, Take your punishment like a man not like some spoilt little shite. Imagine if in your infinate driving skill you managed to cock things up and kill a family of 4 but you manage to survive it, then every night all you have when you shut your eyes is the sight, the smell and the sounds of what you'd done to that family. And you still think the old bill are just there to stop you having fun.By all means remove yourself from the gene pool, the human race would be better off if you did.
mk14dr Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Escortheadcase, sound advice there (if a little harsh ). But then I read your signature......
EscortHeadCase Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Sorry, got a little raged there. Yeah sideways is fine. but when no other buggers about and if you get caught you put your hands up and admit your wrong.
over_head_cam Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Well put EscortHeadCase. We ALL (most) like what might be called 'spirited' driving, but there are limits. And of course, the more aware driver won't get caught because ultimately they are very aware of the world around them

And when your doing 25mph sideways on a roundabout that is only for lorry turning and actually has no traffic its hardly dangerous. Its skillful Also when I did get stopped I addmitted what I did and apologised. It got me no where because the copper was an arrogant **** he took great pleasure in getting my car taken and having the valance ripped on the low loader. OH but doing burnouts at the lights is ok because all your doing is saying LOOK AT ME!!! GIVE ME A SECTION 59!!! do i drive dangerously? NO. Police should target the chavs who rally round busy housing estates where there are actually other cars/people. Controlled drifting in a car I value because I built it myself never hurt or even threatened anyone
