Fawngrove lost there Police/Council contract to SJB. The owner had the truck from new! My dad has been trying to buy this for 20 years and then one day he let her go, its only done 15,000 miles from new and now we use her everyday for towing! Proper Old-Skool.

i was spent nearly two years buiding my angry box, xe on bike carbs billies cossie brakes slipper 16" rims trailer arches all in primer 4 days before booked into spray shop me and my son took her out ,can t beleive it doing 32mph slid on wet leaves down a ditch, head on into a concrete drive. thank god my son got out ok. but because i was wearing the original seat belt i have only just come out of hospital from nov 19th, 80 stitches in my face broken ribs lost my teeth and my eyes are fooked at moment. so please chaps if you have harnesses in your car wear them and if you only have originaL BELTS GET HARNESSES. THE SUGEONS SAID THEY HAVENT SEEN FACIAL INJURIES AS BAD AS MINE SINCE THE 70 S..... i m not preaching i love my osf allways have but i wont get in another one without harnesses, two days earlier i was doing stupid speeds in that car, if you could see what 32 mph has done to me . take care chaps.

Sorry to hear that and I hope you make a full recovery.

 

I'm changing the seats in my car, along with 4 point-ers. I'm also putting new tyres all round on it for the trip home. I've been there and ditched a car I loved when I was younger. It's not a great feeling. But I feel horrible reading your physical damage as a result of the crash.

cheers chaps. once i am better i still have my rwd starlet with a tvr v8 under the bonnet,although at moment thinking about selling it. maybe just leave it in garage until i have got my bottle back, we ll see. thanks anyway for your kind words. wear those harnesses !!!!!!!!!!!

Glad your both ok, just been looking for a roll cage and harness's for mine . my little xr2 isn't the strongest thing on the road. so it needs all the help it can get. .. Good luck with the recovery.

Anglia's aren't good cars to have a crash in. I've heard a couple o' stories of em folding easily on impact.

One was a 'non high speed crash'. The front wheel pushed thru the bulkhead into the floor area, the column also moved and trapped his leg. The steering wheel pinned him against the seat!!

You were only doing 32mph. Imagine goin much quicker on a dry road and getting it all of shape and hitting something..

I learnt to drive in the snow in a mk2 escort (in the days when we had proper snow )

 

Gets the underneath and the arches washed every week and old oil re-applied - messy job

I don't believe in putting cars away in garages so it is being ragged around in any weather. Bit tricky in the snow with Toyo T1R tyres as they don't grip at all.

started up last night no probs after i cleared the snow off so i'm happy about that - will decide when i get home if i can face the drive down
