ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I've just got back from the vets. Had to have my gorgeous Persian cat put to sleep due to kidney failure. I brought him home and have just buried him in the garden. He was 11 years old. My four year old daughter is keeping me amused by bringing me pictures of him when he was a kitten and asking about what he used to do. She know's he's gone and is in kitty heaven, and she said she'll miss him, but she's not been crying, which I'm suprised at. He was a great cat who was funny, but these last few months due to kidney failure he's been weeing all over the house, including all over my Mac laptop which I wasn't pleased about. At least he's not suffering any more. Here's the last pic I took of him last night just before I went to bed. Bye Greebo, you mad fat cat.
Wessie Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 R.I.P but it was for his own benefit mike
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 Yeah it was. I couldn't be in the room when the vet did it, so I went to sit in the waiting room and endure Snow Patrols Chasing Cars. That certainly cheered me up
RFChris Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Having lost my dog just before Christmas i can totally empathise with you. The good memories are what you need to be thinking about. R.I.P Greebo. May you continue to wee on the laptops in heaven! Chris

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 RIP greebo any chance someone in your house reads pratchett mike? Well spotted. The wife's read a couple. We've got a signed Hogfather from about 10 years ago when it came out.
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I know how you are feeling mate. Over the years I have lost a total of 4 cat's and 2 dog's. I get very very attatched to our furry 4 legged friends, so much so, that I have managed to train 2 cat's. We now have one cat left called Cindy, and she has 6 toes on each foot, and she is a right character. She is about 14 years old, but doesn't act or look any older than 3 years old. She more than makes up for the upset that we as a family have suffered in the past with our other pets. It isn't right to let them suffer, and it is a terrible thing to see them go, but they look and depend on you to look after them. Chin up mate, he is at peace now.
