Good meet! Didnt manage to get my car down as its nowhere near road worthy but me and my dad (mk1estate) came down in the 4-door white mk1.

 

Didnt chat to anyone though and i got dragged off by the missus to go bloody shopping so didnt stay too long.

Was a good day out & nice to give the van its first long run, though the sidevalve & 3 speed box probably wasnt best suited for the journey! Nearly had the speedo back round to zero on a few long downhill stretches-though it is highly innacurate

Thankfully the old girl got me back without any dramas, & was good to see some modern motors being left for dust when they tried to have a tearup with certain other members! Nice one to all involved

Wish I made the run, went to North Weald and got totally bored, left earlyish and came across a Vista mk1 RS2000, driven by a lad with hair to match the car on the M25 at the A1 junction, anybody we know??

I seem to remember you turning up quite late, most of us arrived at Hastings at 9:30 and I left home at 6:00 am so it was quite a long day for us oldies
