grifterkid Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Hello folks... Now I love all OSF's but my passion is the Mk1 and Mk2 Granada (apart from Capri's but that is another story!!!)... Now what I want to know is where on earth are all the Granada owner/drivers? I mean why are they not on here?! I have seen a good few Granada's in magazines and at shows over the years and whoever owns them must be scared to talk about it because I cannot see them anywhere on the 'net (not even on dedicated Granada sites )...! Now I know there are not many of these brilliant cars left (cheers banger boys... ) so if you are out there and you own a Mk1 or a Mk2 Granada please share a pic' of your pride and joy so we can all ogle it...!!! Think of this as a plea... Here's my Granada now let's see yours...
mk1fez Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 mine : and my grandad's, currently for sale :
AlanN Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I subscribe to a couple of Granny forums, something even happens on them once in a while...
lotusless Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 great idea lets see all your granny pics you dont see enough about the flagship of the osf world i dont want to upset the z car owners though. anyone lurking out there who can prove we have a following on here? GET SOME NICE PICS UP!!
grifterkid Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 I fully agree with Lotusless...!!! As well as your Granada's let's see your Z's too (I'd love a Mk4 Executive)... I think this should become the 'Old Skool Barges' thread

JAY PS Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I was thinking the same thing ,theres not much love on here from the 2dr brigade and in general ,seem remember it was the same with the zodiac /zephyr cars back in the late 70s/80s which is why so few survive Costly to run and after the first few years they dont get maintained by the future owners . The Granada forums are very quiet but if the dvla reckon theres about 130 ghias still taxed that will be why . gather there is more sorn than on the road !!! Shame because ive always been into them and as most of you know i have 2.8 injection models which are very rare now Heres mine Freshly painted due on the road in the spring or sooner Owned this on and off since 1991 ,ex ford press car and was once used in Love hurts on BBC1 in 1990 the other one ,another factory spec 2.8i with x pack extras These are my old ones 2.8 Ghia x My Mk1 2.0GL and my dads Mk1 Ghia in 89 Taken in 1994 ,my Dads 2.8Ghia x and a Granada base with mk2 2.0 running gear (power steering and interior )!! Taken 1995 ,EGO 65X was a 2.3 GL Estate and my 2nd 2.8i A573 PBH was a 1 owner in rare Nimbus Grey Coleman Milne i owned in 1996 ,horrible thing !!! 35k miler in 2007 Granada 2.8GL 1985 low mileage Ive owned loads more ,i will try and put some other up later
sarkie83 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 a mk2 was my first osf: I didnt have the car long enough to meet anyone else who was into them though.

Mr Day Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Always loved mk1 granada's,a bloke on my road had a few when i was a little nipper n had air brushed naked chicks down the sides,he had drawn plans up to somehow convert 1 into a 6 wheeler, never had any pics of um though cus he moved house when in the mid/late 80s! keep the pics comin folks
ilovegrannys Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Tilly was saved from the track via ebay back in 2006. Im part to blame for the demise of a Granada or two years back, i saw the light and kept this mint example, i couldnt imagine her on the track. Regarding the Granada forums, i joined one or two before & left one. People dont really go on them as it was mentioned earlier in this thread. One forum i left due to arrogant b*****ds, that another story. Good thread to get going, i was pleasantly suprised when i logged on. Well Tilly (the car) is tucked up until May next year until i come back from the Gulf. A 24V Cosworth lump is pending fitment along with a few other treats. Lets see some more Grannys as I LOVE EM!
