Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 24, 2011 Admin Report Posted February 24, 2011 Checked my e-mails this morning and saw an e-mail from PLAY.COM "Your Order Has Been Posted". Funny, I thought, I haven't ordered anything from them since Christmas Turns out, some THIEVING FOOKER SCUM has hacked my PLAY.COM account and ordered a Nokia mobile for £149.99 The delivery address is: Lekan 91, Abbotswood Way Hayes Middx UB3 3PF Feel free to go round and shit through their letter box Phoned PLAY.COM and they have put a stop on the delivery and closed my account for me. Called the bank and they have cancelled my debit card (which was the card on file on my PLAY.COM account). However, I can't claim the money bank via the bank until it has actually appeared on my account which could be a day or two. Then, the bank fraud dept can start working on refunding me (sadly, I did not use a Credit Card). Thieving fecking scum of the fecking earth shite to$$ers
zetecmk2 Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 you should be going to lekan's house

oddball Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 don't the police get involved jo? i mean you have a delivery address for them to go to We had a similar thing happen to us a couple of years ago, the item that the person ordered on our card got delivered to us. When I phoned the police and informed them that I have the address of the person who had used the card, they said we don't deal with it contact your bank
SebringRS Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 lets all post him something. any ideas? Soooo tempting
GJUK Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 It might not be the person living at the address who is the one who has does this to you... So easy on the reactions.
Admin Vista Posted February 24, 2011 Admin Report Posted February 24, 2011 It might not be the person living at the address who is the one who has does this to you... So easy on the reactions. Fair point............but why would you order something to be delivered to an address you couldn't collect from? Unless of course you were able to intercept the package en route?

No idea, perhaps its a friend of the guy that lives there, or an ex girlfriend looking for revenge, or rented house used just for this purpose? Just saying before everyone turns up and sets fire to the place, it might not be the legal 'land owner' involved.
bortaf Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Looking at google maps there isn't a number 9, 35 is a tower block and that's the first building on that road http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=UB3+3PF ... =en&tab=wl

D-FENS Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I could check this place for you Jo as its only about 1/2 miles from me .Would have to be a bit careful as this area is full of scummy shit people, that name lekan could be house name or east european persons name.Theres a load of dodgy east european scroungers around here and there not shy with the violence .
Posse Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Dirty fookers i had the same not long ago .
accord83 Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 There is nothing to say 'Lekan' has not put in a mail divert, the type you use when you move house. Therefore the mail will go to a different address anyway.
Trevmk3 Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 my brother had it a couple of years ago, a fancy Nokia phone turned up with a receipt for over £500, no idea ahy it ended up at ours though but he got his money sorted out in the end
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 25, 2011 Author Admin Report Posted February 25, 2011 Thanks for your offers of help and revenge guys The package was due to be delivered (signed for delivery) by DPD couriers and so Play.com have arranged for them to return the parcel and not deliver it I have calmed down a bit today Makes me feel soooo angry that they can get away with it If I had been on holiday for a week and not checked my e-mails I would not have picked it up and the parcel would have been delivered and gone before anything could be done about it Young Kieran looked up the name "Lekan" (I thought it sounded Polish) but apparently it is Yuroba which is of Nigerian decent and means "my wealth is increased" !!!! Fookers I think I will just leave it in the hands of the fraud team at my bank and also Play.com. Thanks guys
