Right guys. As you know the Capri has gone. But out with the old, in with new as they say. My question is what should i get next. :?

I loved the Capri but i can;t have another. Whatever i get next has to be a four door. I was thinking about going for a Consul or Zodiac again as i loved that car. 8)

Whaddya reckon? It has to be something a bit different, so no Escorts ( i like Escorts, don't get me wrong ) It;s only going to be a weekend car so engine size etc isn;t an issue.

Colmon Milne Granny limo....

MKIII Tina.....

Consul.....

Corsair.....

Discuss!

Mark 4 Cortina all the way better lookin than the mk5, rarer than a mk3 plenty of metal to deflect oncoming Micras, comfy, unbustable Pinto what more could you want?

BTW, is it only me on here who has a Mk5 Cortina or are there others?

I agree, good practical choice that won't break the bank and it just so happens I know where there's a damn good Mk IV 2.0s for sale, check out my post in cars for sale.

I'm just thinking practically.

You drive down to the pub, get smashed, stumble out to the car park, fumble with keys for 5 mins, find the right one, get inside and sleep. Then in the morning you can do yourself a good fry up before driving home.

I just like the bell really

if you buy a cortina mk4/5 you will have LOOOOOOAAAAAADDDDSSS of spares avaliable both mechanical and trim and the front end of a mk4/5 cortina looks mean! and safe for the sprog when it arrives the doors on a tina are very strong! (just watch the a posts!)

if i had an old skool on the road as a daily, i'd have another cortina or mk2 granada, but the granada is loads more thirsty to run every day, the tina aint too bad! just an opinion mind

you gotta be carefull with that as even though it sounds like the smart thing to do , the police see it as because you are still holding your keys , you are still in charge of the vehicle and you can still be prosucuted

or thats what ive been told anyway

if anyone well informed can prove me wrong please do so :D

oh and by the time youve read this chris would have bought and sold at least 3 cars , so the voting is irelivant
