Admin Vista Posted January 4, 2013 Admin Report Posted January 4, 2013 I like Classic Ford but I always look forward to Powderham as it's a relaxed two day affair in some beautiful countryside AND I don't have a ten day camel hike to get there.
Mrs O/H/C Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Classic Ford show imo is "The one" . Look forward to it every year and am never disappointed

Andy44Boz Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 CLASSIC FORD is the one! Just rejoined the local motor club so gonna be out marshalling a few more stage rallies this year too. Straight line racing is alright, but you can't beat an escort on opposite lock at full chat I will try and do as many local shows as the wife will allow too
youngpecker Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 My fave of the year is the Lakes tour weekend. Its a long way for you folks down south but its a great event .
Skimmer Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 It seems Classic Ford is most peoples favourite , i cant really see the attraction ive been going for years but it seems stale and after last years i wont be goin this year , i wernt goin last year but had a change of heart and wished i had stayed at home though i did stay for about 3 hours , still just my opinion

Darran Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 I did quite a few shows last year in my mk1 tina, Classic Ford, Bromley pageant, mk1 cortinas owners club at Stratford on Avon and the Wingspan summer show and I hope to do all of those again. puddy Wingspan for me as were not working!! See ya at the lights at classic ford mark????
Posse Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Summer show and classic ford show or course and the retro show when I can get some more details
XjamesX Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Classic ford show is great, but some of the plastic they let in is getting silly, ka's and mondeo's for instance. But it is still the one I really look forward to. I've been to the retro rides show at Prescott for the last two years, the first time I thought it was fantastic, last year not as good in my opinion, (same problem too much much modern / shit that is supposedly "retro") but I'll go again this year, if we could finally have an OSF stand it would make it a whole lot better as well! Also gotta say although I love Santa pod, I think I find it more interesting / fitting watching alot of these cars going up the hill rather than down the strip, it's a great venue for a car show when the sun is shining Obviously not for taking my car too, but the first "show" of the year I'm really looking forward to is race retro at stoneleigh park
Admin Mk2Jo Posted January 7, 2013 Author Admin Report Posted January 7, 2013 I like Race Retro as well James
Flinty Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Gonna start with wheelsday , then do as many shows as possible during the year , as well as osfdc
puddy Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Gonna start with wheelsday , then do as many shows as possible during the year , as well as osfdc Forgot about wheelsday, the mk1 was not on the road in time for that last year. Also wanna do Crystal palace revival meet and Goodwood revival this year. Btw,if you love mk1 tina's like I do,then the mk1oc meet is THE show to go to, camped last year even though I went up on my own and had a great time , forget about all of the bollox you read on some forums about the politics of it. puddy
SmokeEm Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I know times are tough Mark but will the Mk2 ever see the light of day again??
puddy Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I know times are tough Mark but will the Mk2 ever see the light of day again?? Seriously thinking about breaking my engine and going back to a 330'ish spec, stock engine on greens . puddy
