RedditchJay Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 O YES............... In fact I get other classic cars waving, not just OSF.....
RedditchJay Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 actually...........its not a wave its a HUGE FLASH of the 150watt Oscars and Super Oscars............. take that..........
mr squidian Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 brothers got it on his car, you flash the lights and the engine cuts out!
Osgood Isgood Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I reckon most "classic" car owners appreciate other classic owners irrespective of the marque. I have had toots and waves when out in the Anglia, or my previous 2000e from other cars as diverse as a Ferrari 250gto to a Hillman Imp. HOWEVER.......what is it with MG owners? They seem to be the only ones who generally ignore you. I can't understand it myself. I've had two BGTs (one a V-eight*) and although I still like the car, they aint that special so the MGOC snobbery beats me! * every time I type v8 it puts a smiley face in (except this time of course)
Messenjah Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 i got a wave from a rover p6 owner a guy in an M3 was taking pics of the car have yet to see another osf out and about (despite my car doing almost 250 miles a week ... lol )
RedditchJay Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 a rover driver ! ! ! lucky you....
Pipster007 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 a rover driver ! ! ! lucky you.... At least the P6 was the last of the "proper" Rovers
john_3.0s Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 dont dis rovers mate ive got a p6 too
Pipster007 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 dont dis rovers mate ive got a p6 too I was looking at buying a P6 a few years ago. Thats the reason I said last of the "proper" Rovers
Slik 50 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Every time I see an older ford, I seem to be driving the wifes car
DeuceCoupe Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I do wave most of them time but if I'm behind I dont flash

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I do wave most of them time but if I'm behind I dont flash Unlike you not to flash I've noticed that with MG owners. They're a strange breed. I get anyone in old cars flashing me. Even had a guy in a modified VW Camper van wave. And it wasn't one of the air cooled ones. (An LT)
DeuceCoupe Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I do wave most of them time but if I'm behind I dont flash Unlike you not to flash me flash never
escortmad79 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Not all MG owners are bad, when I owned my blue Mex replica a guy that owns an MGB always used to let me out of my road every morning because he appreciated other old cars
Mr Sam Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 i allways do theres a grumpy old git in a fiesta 1.1S that gives me funny looks a yoiung chick in a mk2 escort that totally ignores me and some old bint in a capri that ignores me
flyingbanana Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 i used to get thumbs up and flashed by this guy for ages ....i didnt know him....later found out he had a mk1 escort and was a m8 of a m8
