WOW !  Some of these conversions look absolutely outstanding. Beautiful is an understatement.  I was planning as soon as my car is Aesthetically correct to rebuild the original xflow with the extra gee-gees . As you all know, that isn't cheap and at the end of the day it will still look the same (no point opening the bonnet at shows) . I'm new to this, a reborn i guess (12 osf back in the day)  . I thought it was all about originality, back to your roots. ????

I didnt know you were a Lotus Twincam fan Col, I thought you built fancy Cosworth stuff?

If I ever did an Anglia again that's what would be in it, std looking apart from lotus steels.

While I think an original engine look is a fascinating thing and respect to those that are able to achieve that I do believe your average Pinto and Kent engine to be a bit bland and  that with the addition of a few nondescript "Bling" bits you can highlight the engine that people will still wow when you open the bonnet.

I prefer modified cars as I get bored easy looking at two cars that are the same. That said, if there is a mint, detailed, original example then I spend quite a bit of time looking it over.

Must admit I agree with Hotrodmatt, my attention span would be longer on an original mint car. There was a green mk1 cortina at CF would say 99% totally original owned by an old guy who problably had it from new. You know the type with the flags in the window ' I've been to Bognor Regis' it was a pure credit to him how he'd kept it and used it. That type of car will get my praise all day long!

Depends on purpose

There are loads of mad trackday / rally / race cars out there, and stunning original and modified show cars that all serve there own purpose

One thing about old fords your not short of variety
