S c o o b y Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I just bought this off eBay I bought the first picture and they sent the second picture but my car is a 1980 will it be the same I've emailed the seller but heard nothing surprise surprise .

You could take it back through e bay as a mistake described item, but that will take weeks. So ask the question ....... is the manual complete. ........did you pay a fortune and expect a new manual. khanlad Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Ive never seen a 75/78 manual? Thought they were all 75/80? Wouldnt think there would be much difference to be honest 1

Ray Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 its basically just the print date, the one you got was printed in 78, however, if there were any changes to the cars between 78-80, they wont be included in your book, all books printed later will be the full 75-80 if you didnt pay much, then its not worth the hastle sending back, just use it as your dirty copy to use while working on the car, had similar last week, seller wont respond, so e-bay/paypal will refund me the original purchase price and shipping, when i return the item, but wont refund the return postage, so was not worth returning as they were insistant it was returned recorded delivery

I've seen afew over the years they also did one that just states 1975 onwards in a slightly different shade of blue. The main difference will be the 'supplement' section that lists revisions and information on later models won't be up to date. £10 was rather expensive as they are not a rare item. A good tip if you're looking to purchase Haynes manuals is to go to your local charity shop they often have these in and won't rob you like an ebay seller (and you'll be helping a good cause).
