F1 coverage on channel 4

Peoples thoughts after the first day? I like what they're trying to do but it just feels a little awkward. As a side note, the 90 second knock out rule was difficult to keep track of to say the least

I think the coverage was OK, first time working as a team for them so I'm sure they'll get better. New qualifying format though?

Slowest Driver eliminated every 90 seconds. If he hasn't jumped up the timings board by the time it reaches zero he's out.

The elimination format was total rubbish. Driver trying to complete a lap simply cut off. Others not having time to get out to try again simply sat in the pits. Q3 no one had tyres to go out again and gave up. It was all over with a few mins still to go.

Coverage was OK, but as said the qualifying was totally confusing, why do they have to keep messing with it when last seasons system worked well and you had cars on the track till the very last second.

Completely agree. Glad to hear they will revert to previous qualifying format for next race. I though the race coverage was good, especially mark webbers presenting
