How's this for a comparison from today's models to one more than a few years back!

Will it still be going in 68 years time and still look as good, somehow don't think so.

Eeeehh and you bought a Harley ??

Sorry I am a bit confused now..

I think they had a bad reputation in the 70's and 80's (particularly when AMF built them) but I don't think that's the case nowadays.

Maybe the jap bikes are more reliable but they just ain't harleys !!

Have to say, I had Jap Sports bikes in the form of Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and finally my last bike was a Sports Tourer (Honda VFR 800) that I bought new in 1999. In 2004 I decided that I wanted a Harley V-Rod as I was after something completely different as I wanted Lazy touring rather than chucking nimble bikes rounds bends at life ending speeds.

I didn't go through with it in the end though as a good friend was killed on his bike just as I was going to close the deal on one and it put me off altogether.

Never really got the whole Harley thing, but respect to anybody that does.

Personally I look for performance when choosing my bike which explains my GSXR1000 (track bike) and Ducati 959 Panigale (road bike)  :)

Only ridden one Harley, on seeing the series of American chopper jumped at the chance to ride one. The impression given lovely comfy laid back ride. Yeah right maybe if your on drugs and had an epidural. To sum up the worst thumpy uncomfortable thing I've ever ridden, taking it that I own some 500cc single old Brit bikes don't say a lot for them. It's everyone to there own, whatever turns you on

Followed by a stage 1 upgrade which consists of performance exhausts, high flow air cleaner and a re map.

And the latest. ...saddlebag with fuel bottle (the 2.1 gallon tank doesn't last long)
