I was looking for a photo today and see some of my Lotus Cortina I sold a few years ago and it started me thinking about other classic Fords that for some reason or another I had sold. The Lotus Cortina I had owned for years, completely restored it and after the engine went wrong for the third time I decided enough was enough and before I could change my mind it had sold.

The same happened with my Anglia van, it was decided as a quick fix for some cash but after all the time, effort and money, I should have never sold it......

I have attached some photos of my Lotus Cortina and my mk1 GT has gone to Tiger Racing in Wisbeach for the underneath to be repainted body colour. Tiger racing advertise in Classic Ford and have a huge pedigree in restoring classic fords and they are very reasonable prices.

I will look for other photos of my Anglia van and other classic fords and here are some of my GT Mk1 and the Lotus I sold.

It will be good for other OSF's to share there pictures and memories.

Cheers

Lee

Not personally, but my Dad had a 2-door Escort, 1100 we think on an F-plate, (but maybe G or H, Dad's a bit vague), but an early example. Dad scrapped it in the mid 1970s. He says it was already rotten, and the Mk4 Zephyr he replaced it with (now being a family man) got better MPG. I still wish he'd kept it for me. :(

If I had been able to keep my first vehicle it would now have a V8 small block, with Jag rear end, seats moved well back and custom interior! still got my 70's Custom car mags for inspiration! and leching! 8)

All of them, i regret selling all of them, capris, mk2 escorts, xr2's an xr3i and a cabriolet ....and a never ending list of cars i came close to owning but didnt due to money or space or time .....

.....i could see the way the classic ford world was going and i wanted to keep them all but for various practical reasons we cant keep them all i suppose.

However, i do still own my first car, a mk2 escort 1100 pop 2 door....cost me £300 with an mot back in the day
