My Betty is into design etc and she says that Black is a universal colour, that combines best with Orange, Pink, Salad Green, Red, Mauve or Yellow.

I do not question her on such matters as colour, as I find to my own peril when I sometimes come down the stairs after dressing myself...  :-D  :-D  :-D

personally  i'd rip the chrome window trim off, drop the arse 1.5 inch and bin the wheels in favour  of 7x13 superlights. will look stunning!

personally, i would leave the stripe off, and go with that chrome and blacked out window theme, it does gel

I really like that too tbh.

That's what I've got already although the wheels have satin black centres

Im definitely in favour of the stripe (just not black) and think a contrasting colour like the deep red you were considering to be a great choice but more so Apache Escorts are so rare that most dont know what they are and the stripe will tell those that know what it is and get those that dont to ask the question, what is it?

theyre 7x13s? they look bigger on the pic, maybe its the black that makes them look bigger. my mates got some white ones on his arched mk2, looks swank. he's just put some silver ones on with better tyres and it looks a million times better.

So, I went with "sticker man's" initial idea of matt black as he thought it would contrast well with the high gloss black finish. Plus if I didn't like it he would redo it for free in a different colour of my choosing :-)

I've tinted the rear windows, I'll do the front ones this weekend. [Taking care not to violate this rule: Motor Vehicles first used before 1 April 1985: The windscreen and front side windows must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them]. Honest Guvnor!

Chrome window trim is also going on this weekend

Do I like it? Better than plain black that's for sure and in extreme sun the matt does indeed break up the swathes of gloss black. The jury is out until I see the finished article
