I'm 26 so vinyl is out the question but I bought Will Smith - Men In Black on cassette, along with an AQUA album. I think we can all agree the early 90s were a high point for music.................

more along the lines of top quality hits that will go down in history as the greatest songs ever written..... or something like that

Being an old git I rightly or wrongly generalise 80s and 90s music as something in the background but like a compressor or an angle grinder repetitive non understandable crap.

Agreed there may be a few exceptions but not many, don't ask me to name any because just never managed to catch the title !!

Spooky, heard that on the radio today. First time I've heard it in decades. One of my favourite early 80's albums was Kings of the Wild Frontier, a little before they went totally New Romantic.

Yes definitely their best stuff. I sometimes put it on my mp3 and sing along at work. Not hitting the high notes obviously!

Love that song! Though it was never written as a Christmas song, in fact if you read the lyrics it's not specifically about the Great War either

well when i was about 3yr old my mum bought me adam and the ants and shakin stevens lps, and when i was about 7 i had a dansette record player in my bedroom. still have lps now, wish i had the dansette.

get in there! shakin stevens back on tour 2017!
