well when i was about 3yr old my mum bought me adam and the ants and shakin stevens lps, and when i was about 7 i had a dansette record player in my bedroom. still have lps now, wish i had the dansette.

Not sure exact year, but of all the crap I have forgotten, I do remember my first single and it was Men at work - come from a land down under - not the worst song ever, but I did buy some shockers including Paul McCartney and Frog Chorus and i had it on picture disc. Unfortunately don't have it anymore but I do still have nearly all the NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC albums on vinyl

Down Under remains one of my favourite singles from the early 80's. Two others were the Safety Dance and Don't Tell me (Blancmange)
