my cortina is a 67 reg year but it is showing up on dvla site mot exempt is this a new law is anyone else the same.

I  put the reg off someones f reg cortina and that one said no mot they must off messed up with some old cars

Its not a good thing anyway always better to get your car looked over just find it odd how some are saying exempt and others are not .

Thanks but I meant where is Jas getting the feedback that his car is MOT exempt?

 

As to the above, personally I am opposed to any cars being MOT Exempt and think some kind of road safety check should remain obligatory.

a check is required for road use if you get a tug and plod find anything the matter with your car they will do you and not let you move it on the road the same as any mot liable car so why not just have it motd at least then you have an idea that it is ok

£45 the going rate there are some discount mots as low as £30 but not many

 

Our Pink Slips cost the equivalent of 20 pounds but I dont believe they are as thorough or comprehensive as your MOTs. Its just a check that all the indicators lights and brakes work and nothing so worn out with the suspension or tyres that its dangerous. Its over in less than 10 minutes max.
