So, about 5 years ago I purchased a Capri that was in a sorry state. Put time, money, effort, tears, more money, skin loss, a few more tears and a bit more money to get Eddie back to his former glory. "That's it, never doing that again".........bugger, until now.

I recently found a mk3 3.0S manual tucked up, rusting away in a corner....not been on the road for 10 years give or take....and after a bit of wheeling and dealing I bought it.

Initially didn't look to bad but found more the harder I look...even so, my aim is 18 months to get it back on the road.....and a lot lighter in the bank balance I feel....but, it's another one saved in my eyes so sod it, who needs savings anyway.

I have already a few Fords in my garage but my voice made me buy it I bought a type 2 Volkswagen minibus which is a 24000 mile ex Hamburg police riot loudspeaker van !

yes you read it right 24000 mile white van is the 2L engine I must say in mitigation that I only bought it because I could see many pound signs flashing up to then allow me to buy more Folds! it's a poor excuse I know but it's the only one I've got

It was converted new by a Germany company for Hamburg police and was in service with them until 2001 I will post a photograph of what I bought and the other one which is in the bully museum in Germany

I had a 70 early bay up until 2014 when i suddeny became single after 19 years and had to sell it.

Then last year i chose a different direction, ala Escort.

So, the 3.0ltr is off to the garage today. Getting it thoroughly checked back to front to see what it's going to cost to get it roaring again.... I think I'll have to pick the mechanic up from the floor through him laughing too much....but who cares, it's only money...and you can't take it with you when you die....what better cause ay....that's right...isn't it?

I`m a dyed in the wool OSF fan and support breathing life into some poor old girl thats been forgotten or ignored for a long time. As far as the van goes i am a fan of anyone who tries to bring life back into the corpse of a classic  vehicle.
