Ford Australia is said to have build three Escort Twincams in 4 door by customer request. So elusive that I have never be able to find a photo of one.

I wasn't sure if you would like it or dislike it Col, but I posted it cause I thought it would catch your eye. The more you look at it the more it kind of grows on you. I don't mind it as much as much as I did initially but was a bit horrified at first.

Even the rarest of 2 Door RS and Twincams cant claim to be the most valuable of Escorts. The most valuable Escort is a Mk2 4 Door GL Popular. This one valued at over a quarter of a million dollars US. I wonder if it would be worth more without the dents? Actually in this case it wouldn't, so whats the catch?

Winner winner chicken dinner! This was the OldSkoolFord owned by Pope John Paul II. Upon becoming Pope the pontiff had to sell all his worldly possessions for charity so he auctioned off his beloved 4 Door (note NOT 2 Door! LOL) Mk2 Escort. At its original sale it came with a Papal blessing. I don't think that was transferable though as its just been sold for the second time since then, the last only recently. Each time fetching 200 to 300 thousand US dollars. As far as pulling nuns? It was the Popular (or is that Pope-u-lar?) model after all! 1
