I think we can say that 79 was a good year. 

Mate popped around earlier in his Sunbeam for a bit of a catch up. 

He's thinking of selling, as he's bought a TR7.  I'm trying to put him off though and telling him to keep the Sunbeam.

Funny story is that it was a TR7 that got me into Escorts! The richest kid in High School that fancied himself as a fashion icon and playboy got given a TR7 by his dad. Another kid in school annoyed by him parading it around offered to drag race him. (that sort of thing barely raised an eyebrow then now you end up on the news) The guy had a 2lt 4 door GL Mk2 complete with original hubcaps as Q car as it gets. He talked his mum into buying it as her runaround car not understanding what she had. In front of the school no less at 4pm a very upset TR7 owner actually in tears at being beaten. (The girls flocked to him to comfort him so he still got the girls anyways!). I loved seeing him get his dues though so I started chatting to the Escort kid and he asked me if I wanted a drive. That was the defining moment and have been broke ever since. He became by best friend and I was best man at his wedding. Every time I see a TR7 on the street to this day I still laugh my head off!

I know. I've told him to keep it, as it's really nice. 

My suggestion was to put a milder cam in it to make it a bit more driver friendly. 

I'm hoping he's leaning towards not selling it and getting rid of the TR7. 

One of them has to go due to the not having enough space.
