And oh yes, best club stand again. We're making a bit of a habit of this. Excuse the knees

We keep it, I have a trophy cupboard for them. Though the 2018 trophy never made it to me..... @popeye has custody of it (on loan)

I think putting the Autojumble in the middle with only that single narrow bridge for access was a mistake.....but I still preferred it to Santa Pod.

I liked that it was truly about Classic Fords with no Mondeos, Focus', or Kas in sight, I liked being on the grass, I liked being elevated above the track action and therefore able to see it. The only other real (in addition to the bridge) downside for me was the dusty gravel road to the club display areas.

Agree with turnover, not for me. No atmosphere, numbers down and not organised. This is my opinion only but take a look at the classic Ford show Retards Club posts only one is positive of of about 20. I have to travel a long way for Mallory Park but won't be going next year

There are a few things that would sorting out for next year, more toilet facilities, improvement on the camping ground and more area, staff that know what they are doing. Entrance was a bit poor again better staff for directions in and out of the field. For me personally the track was good, better than doing just a straight line job by. Enjoyed it barring it pissing down which spoilt the day.

I read the comments your refer too, there are quite few positive ones. Many people whinging about "why was my 96 cossie not allowed in??". The points about dusty access road and queues are valid.....but the pod suffers those issues equally. The bridge into the central paddock area was an own goal though.

Same, Glad/surprised that we got best club given the turnout compared with santapod.  Numbers definitely down so cant be the only one, but not for me if they continue with Mallory Park next year. Think I will stick with local stuff alot of time effort and money to make the trip for something that I believe is not as good as previous years

Decided to go last minute (as a spectator not in one of my cars) after hearing about them enforcing the cut off date for once and also the change of venue (not a fan of Santa pod). Thought it was a good show (although £25 on the gate was very expensive for what the show was) but actually felt like classic ford again, aka no plastic shit, less chav’s, basically loads better all round in my opinion. First time I’ve been in years after saying I’ll never go again while they continued the old format (of basically letting anything in and it not actually being a CLASSIC ford show.). As long as they continue to be strict with the cut off dates etc I’ll probably start going again each year, hopefully it can be like it used to be, a smaller, but better quality show. Sorry I didn’t pop over to the stand to say hello, barely had chance to look round before the heavens opened up I’m afraid.

I think every club was down on numbers. Perhaps to be expected with a big change like that.

We quite enjoyed the new venue (other than the weather) a few teething problems especially the narrow bridge that Scott mentioned. 

Great views of the track, and an awesome breakfast in the diner.. 

Good to catch up with everyone we spoke to and we'll be back next year.

I went on the Saturday and camped, sorry but it was awful and nothing going on at all on Saturday night not even allowed to go and check out the trade stands oddly🙄 track is pretty dull and sorry there was little or no effort put in for the £35 I paid. It sucked. 

Shame on CF mag

Couldn't agree more total shambles people were stuck in the middle of the track for an hour and half wating to cross like the idea of it beaing a track  don't like the venue they were to strict on tyre screach and slowing people down I think they need a better location it's more of a motor bike track  all seemed very cheap and last minute

Think people need to look at this as a new event. Not an old event that's moved base.

Lack of things to do Saturday is no different to Pure Ford or Ford Fair. Someone said camping was tight and close together. This is no different to my Ford fair experience. The only real problem was 1 toilet block.

I travelled up on the day and had no queue to get in at 10:15 in the public car park. Also when  we left with both cars there was no stop start queueing. The rain meant many people left early with reports of queues but no experience of it so cant comment.

Pod is over, time to move on.

Thanks to Scott for the couple of pics of mine on the track, one coming round the hairpin which reminds me I need to change the diff ratio as I couldn’t keep it on song round it. The other pic is overtaking I think was a v8 Capri down the straight. I’ve just looked at my go pro footage of the knob in a fiesta 🤬 who kept getting in my way to to a full quick lap. He should have been black flagged the amount of times he cut in front of me. But hay ho good day. I’m really struggling to blow the head gasket though even at 9200rpm 😜

I think what helps the club win best club stand is the variety of cars we have and there was a good turn out.

I would hope they will learn a lot from their first year hosting this event and if it is held at Mallory next year i'm sure it will be better organised. I will be going wherever it is.
