I'll try to fill in the gaps.

1, Lancia Beta Monte Carlo series 2

2, Mazda 110s Cosmo sport

10, Iso Grifo.

You certainly know all the obscure ones that are meant to catch every body out. How did you possibly know about the Iso Grifo? I had to look it up! LOL

What is the significance of the Mazda's number 2?

Ahhhhh so its not a GM vs Ford thing its really and directly a Vauxhall vendetta? You must have been left in the rain and snow late at night on the motorway at some point when you were younger by a Vauxhall then? We had re-badged Astra's and Calibra's at one point but I think thats as close as we got to Vauxhall's. They rebranded some of our Holden's as well so it would be hard to tar all Vauxhall's with the same brush. I used to love VX220s but we never got them here.

Triangular pistons? 😂😂

The Grifo was a car I lusted for after I once saw one at the roadside in about 1976ish with a cardboard sign in the window for £950, a shame, as I was coppering up to get enough to buy some fish and chips at the time!

Best Police cars I drove were the first Cavalier Sri's for rural Traffic Patrol, and Senators for the big tarmac. They didn't break. (Except for ripping off the rear bumper body kit every time we reversed the Sri 130's off the road onto a verge, solved with cable ties!)

Yes it was the start of their rotary production, mores the pity (not a fan LOL)

Oh wow I could go without fish and chips for one for whole a year if needs be! Still you seem to know your classic cars extremely well.

I'm the same. All the lower end family stuff now from Honda, Toyota or whoever all look the same so I can't tell one from the other if asked. Add to that that black and silver are the only colours chosen it makes identification even worse. Its even been put to me "You're into cars why don't you know what that its?!" LOL I just tell them I suffer from plastic blindness.

Oooooowww a magnum and a sports hatch.......want them

Haha, these bring back memories of my miss-spent youth 😁

My best friends birthday was a bit in front of mine and his Dad had a nail of a Viva. When he hit 17 and I was 16, I would sit beside him as a competent driver on my older brothers driving licence. 😇

If we managed to entice any girls into the car for a quiet drive, we used to sing a line from the Macc Lads.

🎶 Vauxhall Viva's covered in rust, but you can't f#*k your bird on a 29 bus 🎶

I then hit 17 and when I was home on leave every 6 weeks from Apprentice College he would sit beside me in my Mam's Chevette for us to get trapping.

Either that or we were ripping about the village on 2 strokes making a right noise nuisance.

Vauxhalls bring back so many memories, even though we were a pair of urchins.

I had a 2.3 Firenza SL sport, back in the day, when all my mates had Escorts. I had souped it up, with a Vulcan big valve head, piper 285 cam, and twin 48 Delortos. Janspeed exhaust manifold

I never had it on the dyno, but I guess it made around 200bhp, too much for the Vauxhall gearboxes, I had to convert it to a Ford single rail 2000e box.

Like most of my cars, I build them , and then someone else wants them more than me, and I sell them and move on to the next project.🙄

I had the 2.3 sport SL also, went very well. Metallic green with light green stripe. Ate gearboxes and back tyres....so much fun. The days when you didn’t worry about the price of fuel, foot to boards everywhere 😍😍😍😍😍
