Cuili1 Posted April 1, 2020 Report Posted April 1, 2020 Out interest, what paint have you guys used? I've got mine to do, and haven't got round to buying the paint yet! Has anyone any recommendations? Craig.
notenoughtime Posted April 1, 2020 Report Posted April 1, 2020 I’ll get the details today, is power floated or just tamped concrete? Some times you have to put an etch primer down first

notenoughtime Posted April 1, 2020 Report Posted April 1, 2020 You will need an etch primer then obviously that’s the red tin lol 1
colr6 Posted April 1, 2020 Report Posted April 1, 2020 That’s the same as what I’ve used on my floor, as a precautionary measure I’ve always used a sealer beforehand. Does seem to last longer and not flake up as much. 1

khanlad Posted April 2, 2020 Report Posted April 2, 2020 I used some stuff from screwfix straight onto concrete. Ive found in the past light coat first let it dry then another coat on top so it looks pretty. 1
theloudboy Posted April 2, 2020 Report Posted April 2, 2020 One coat of a sealer first then 2 coats of this bought from screwfix, as the big lad has said in the reply above 1

colr6 Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 All this talking about garage floor paint, thought it’s about time I did mine. One quick thinned coat over existing using polyurethane. You don’t realise how much shit you have till you have to move it to paint the floor !! 4

Can never be to complacent these days.

Or they think, Granny's got a big garage, lets break in and steal her mints and pinch Grandpa's mothballs.😁 I know what you mean though, my neighbour put a large window in the side of his garage using plain double glazed glass. My window is the same length, half as deep, with heavily patterned bathroom glass.
