Hi Ray, trying my best to reach out to Ford owners about OldSkoolFord and the NEC.

I think there will be a surge as it gets closer, but the parking costs are the number one put offs.

I'll keep pushing 👍😊

The code is in the contributirs room Ray and the number of people who contribute is extremely small. We have close to.15,800 registered members, but only 45 contributors.

Hi Scott, i know the contributor side is abysmal, and those who use it without contributing should be ashamed of themselves tbh, but that's why i worded it in the way that i did, so as to pm me if the 15750 non contributors couldn't get in the cult house, and ill pm the code, as being an open forum, it cant be advertised on here either, and i have to be careful how thats said, as they google search, as i found out a couple of years back, but that uptake was absolutely zero, so unless that was mis understood, i dont understand, that no one would want to go and take advantage of the discount, but i didnt even get a response to asking what the problems were, i do accept that a percentage of members will also be members of other clubs, and may have bought tickets via those clubs, but with the amount of people that log in here daily, a zero uptake is still abysmal

the NEC, give clubs the stand space foc, then assess the ticket sales of each stand, this has been like that for the last few years, then that goes towards the viability of giving you a stand the following year, hence why i keep trying to push sales of tickets, last year i managed to get the ticket sales up from another means, i dont have that luxury this year,

the NEC on average have over 40 clubs they have to refuse space to each year, as they dont have the room for them, so at zero ticket sales each year, it runs the risk of loosing astand space, which would be a sad shame and great loss, as its a fantastic show to both do and visit

Going back to your question Ray, i.e. why people may not want to go, it's fairly simple I think. Economics. It is a very very expensive show to attend.

I have been three times since 2015, in 2015 I was an exhibitor, which as you know costs a king's ransom. The other two times I went as joe public...but even that is very costly by the time the cost of getting there, parking, entry and food / drink on site is accounted for. I have enjoyed the show every time I have been, but not enough to spend that much attending every year.

Well done lads, and Ray for pushing it. As said, it is a good show to both show and just attend. I do agree that it is not the cheapest, but as far as day out goes, you don't really get much better for what you pay. Just to watch a footy matxh these days is 3 times the NEC. Try and support if you can people, it means the club may fet the chance to keep the stand, and if any want to show, just make some noise and let us know.

The parking is the killer , I think @Vista. Booking in advance helps but then my confirmation has never been checked on site 🤔
