rs2000 mk2 escort starter motor unobtainable

what a b,,,,dy waste of time ive just wasted several days sorting the engine for my 1600 sport with alloy rs2000 sump to be told rs2000 starter motors are unobtainable  to fit an alloy sump setup , looks like il be refitting the steel sump next week

Plenty of aftermarket options that will fit with an alloy sump

I thinks I have one, not new but not knackered either - bit spendy for postage I'd think?

Where are you in north Wales as I have a geared starter for an rs2000 that's spare, I'm near Mold.

Cheers, but it is a geared starter that I want to replace with an original short bodied Lucas starter motor with, as I am going down the from factory original route with my RS2000, but cheers all the same.

If I do find, I will give you a call BUT this starter came from an RS2000 with a RS bell and mated to a 2.0L Pinto - ovbiously you have a OHV, are you certain it will fit & mesh with flywheel ? as could be a spendy mistake if it doesn't.

its a 2.0 pinto thats going in it katana with a alloy sump and rs bellhousing alloy mated to a type 9 box

Ok - picture time! Don't know why but I thought it was Lucas but its clearly Bosch - (DOH, made in Germany as was car DOH LOL!)

I've got no idea what its worth but it must weigh at least 5kg for postage?
