Overhere the government tells us we should expect more power-outages and similar emergencies like no tap-water and/or gas for cooking due to weather (storm) or an overloaded power-grid. Is that the same in UK? Did you take precautions like a supply of bottled water, beans in cans, backup powersystem (powerstation with/without solar panels) etc?

On a serious note though after all the lockdowns I started buying a stock of freeze dried meals that have a 25 year shelf life and  large UV resistant water containers. Already had an emergency first aid kit, camp stove  and generator. Added a low power usage caravan type freezer to the shed (only uses 65 watts). Its not full on prepper but enough to go 2 weeks without power if there was a natural disaster that took the power out.
