Admin Vista Posted April 5, 2025 Admin Report Posted April 5, 2025 A car an old school friend of mind has brought back from Ukraine after the ongoing war ended his business there. Any knowledgeable people able to name the make and model? 1

Dave Knight Posted April 5, 2025 Report Posted April 5, 2025 (edited) When I was on intel in Gorazde for operation Grapple, these were knocking about. The diesels are good for minus 15 and more, proper knockers as they were known🤣 Edited April 5, 2025 by Dave Knight
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted April 11, 2025 Moderator Report Posted April 11, 2025 I didnt know what it was but I quite like it and its in very good condition especially the interior. Saved from the Ruskies.
eeb43 Posted April 11, 2025 Report Posted April 11, 2025 1 of those got banger raced at kings lynn a few years ago it was the standby car in the making of willy wonka
guido Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 There are more interesting cars in the Eastern DDR or Russian. Like the old Wartburg, DKW and the Zastava. Even an old Lada can be made cool with some mods. Lada had strong engines, very durable. And with some work put out good power. Picture, two stroke engine Wartburg 1960............................ I like it 1
guido Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Matter of taste it is. But consider a dull looking Lada or may this one in picture a bit customiazed, may look a bunch more better as it came from factory as such. 1
Dave Knight Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 Lada’s selling for fortunes these days. I like their boxy shape.
Johnny Boy Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 (edited) I had a Lada Niva 4x4 . I put a Lancia Beta 2.0 twin cam engine in it. It went well. Edited August 31, 2025 by Johnny Boy 1
Dave Knight Posted August 31, 2025 Report Posted August 31, 2025 I bet it did! Did it handle like a cathedral though 🤣 1

Did it handle like a cathedral though 🤣 It was OK for green laning and off road sites, but no torque, all revs power, so not very tractable. I sold it and bought an old series 2 Land Rover, much better no power but lots of torque. 1 1
