It has all the characteristics required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of braking systems across an extremely wide range of vehicles. Additionally, can be safely mixed with other brake fluids meeting both DOT 3 and DOT 4 specifications. Benefits High Boiling Point - minimises the risk of vapour lock occurring in the wheel cylinder even under the most extreme conditions. High Wet Boiling Point - ensures continued vapour lock protection by maintaining a high boiling point throughout the service life of the fluid. Optimal Viscosity - minimal low temperature viscosity ensures system responsiveness is maintained in very cold conditions whilst maximal high temperature viscosity ensures adequate lubricity and leakage prevention are maintained at high operating temperatures. Corrosion Inhibition - protects the full range of metallic components in the braking system from corrosion damage that can lead to excessive seal wear and even loss of fluid causing potential system failure. Rubber Compatibility - with the range of elastomeric material commonly found in braking systems this fluid allows maximum working life from seals to ensure safe and reliable brake operation. Fluid Stability- stable against both high temperature and oxidation ensures consistent high performance in all conditions. Meets the following performance levels: SAE J1704, FMVSS No. 116 Dot 4, ISO4925 Class 4.

Ray Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago for me its a no no unfortunately, i initially and still have in my blue car, ATE racing blue DOT 4, which is no longer available, and extreemly expensive when if does come up, i last paid £150 per litre, but purely for its colour my purple car has silicon fluid, again initially because of its purple colour, and ive put this in several cars now, really good, as long as you dont aerate it too much prior to bleeding i had an under bonnet weep/leak on the DOT 4, this stripped the paint, so never again will i use DOT 4, silicon fluid doesnt harm anything, as long as the system is clean at fill, and its for life, whereas DOT 4 is Hydroscopic and sucks up water, and has a limited life as a result, i read on the net that the americans control the colour of brake fluid, and that they have colour charts that tell them how much water is in it by its colour, and it was them that banned the blue for road use while i also agree tho, that if your gonna race the car, silicon is not for you
