Admin Vista Posted Friday at 22:06 Admin Report Posted Friday at 22:06 Three of my favourite things in one video 1. Scotland 2. Mk2 Escorts 3. Big Country Seriously though, mk2 Escort jam sandwiches unable to catch two lads twos up on a GP125? That's even more unbelievable than holding up buses with a puffer gun full of itching powder! 😆 1 2
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted Saturday at 00:11 Moderator Report Posted Saturday at 00:11 Those sheep look like the easy herded sheep from Clarksons Farm. No Chance! 1
Nige65 Posted Saturday at 06:59 Report Posted Saturday at 06:59 I had a GT125, a Mk2 Escort around this time, my mum and sister were born in Scotland but I was more of a Skids fan than Big Country! 1
Roman Hordan Posted Saturday at 09:59 Report Posted Saturday at 09:59 Restless Natives, that takes me back. The chase scenes are properly daft, a Mk2 on a hill road should have had those two on the GP125 sorted in no time. Though to be fair, the Mk2s in those old films always seem to handle like they're on ice, so maybe that's the explanation. Nige, a GT125 and a Mk2 is a proper combo for the time. Skids and Big Country both came out of Fife, so you weren't far off the same patch anyway. Did you keep either of them? 1
Miniliteman Posted Saturday at 11:45 Report Posted Saturday at 11:45 Well the fact that the cops couldn't catch the baddies on the motorcycle can easliy be explained, without the help of AI. The Escorts had just a 1100 cc engine with a puny Motorcraft carb. Top speed was also compromised by the big Police sign with the blue lights on the roof destroying the streamline of the car and by the two 14 stone officers in the car. The motorcycle must have had a 250 cc engine with a twin Weber car and a cam! Plus the movie would have been too short if the police caught them within a few 100 yards .... 1
Dave Knight Posted Saturday at 17:01 Report Posted Saturday at 17:01 GP100 or 125 definitely. Lovely little ditty. Is that Edinburgh?

It was a GP125, I owned one around that time. Two up it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
