  5. Spec sheet? How much was the bribe for you to win a prize? 🤔
  6. Hahahah bet you no British Mk2 ever won that one! 🤣🤣 Should I take it the new paint was successful and makes the car look 20 years younger? lol
  7. No worries..cheers.
  8. Used to be quite good at solving these but the one for the discount is unsolvable.
  9. So if you solve this puzzle you get a discount?
  10. Assembled in 1990's?
  11. First big show of the year as the car was away all year until recently. All Aussie day was for cars that were all local production or assembled here. Our Escorts were assembled here accounting for some unique features like large fuel tanks etc. And I even won a trophy! But ......... No hysterical laughing ok? Whats the exact engine capacity of a Std 2lt Pinto engine shown on my spec sheet on the car window? 🤣

  19. Welcome from California. Not sure of the tray at the back of the sump, it would line up with the crank though. If trying to go rear sump you would also need to change out the oil pick up to the rear, Burton Power would have those or someone here on the forum in the US might even have the sump and pick up already.
  20. Just thought I would stop you going to specsavers Graham 🤣🤣
  21. I think I can just about see that
  22. Discount QR code for this year 😊
  23. I sorry James, it was used for a dying Springer Spaniel, it's made a full recovery but insists on chasing old Fords and young women! (catches neither)😁
  24. Hi, I just joined the forum hoping to get information on the Kent Crossflow 1600 and Ford T9. I bought a 1978 Triumph Spitfire a few years ago to restore. I bought a T9 5 speed gearbox from a Merkur XR4Ti. I bought a gear-set from BGH Geartech and I'm in the process of putting that back together. I also bought a Ford Kent Crossflow 1600 that was being used in a home made tractor. I believe it was an industrial engine before that. I'm in the process of trying to fit the engine and gearbox in the Spitfire before committing to an engine rebuild. The setup needs a rear bowl sump, but unfortunately this engine has a front bowl sump. I've pretty much given up on trying to find a rear bowl sump, and I'm going to try and cut this one up and weld it back together as a rear bowl. My first question is does anyone know the purpose of the rear baffle (in shallow part of sump)? I don't see anything different about the rear of the engine that explains its purpose. Thanks, Gene
  25. Can I have that kidney then? 😁

  27. My two car policy came up for renewal next month, and it looked too high. after much ringing around and internet buggeration I remembered Abbeyfields being on this site. I rang and got put through to Stuart, I saved £100. It was easy, I didn't get asked totally irrelevant questions, or pages of form filling, or have to sell a vital organ. Just a phone call, 6 pics per car and pay the money, bosh, done. Happy Days!
