  1. No plates needed, if you mean the alloy top plates then you can buy those from TEMU or ebay, but make sure you get 44mm ones. but they are not needed

  2. You mean the air horns inside the airfilter housing? They are air horns but also make sur that the housing does not split when the nuts are tightened. Some VW also use these airhorns and you can them form places like classiccarbs although I don't know if a plate for a 40IDF will also fit a 44IDF.
