Anglia arrived today it’s going to need some jacking points and rear inner sill work but generally good apart from that! Top plates have been welded but generally good as are chassis legs, It has steel bubble arches and the roof chop has been done well I’m going to remove the head tomorrow to see what (if any) has been done internally, what end is a xflow cam marked is it the flywheel end?

So some of you may have seen ive purchased an Anglia 105e that’s had a bit of work done back in the 60s 70s Here are a couple of pics from then and this is is how it is now As you can see it’s definitely from back in the day lol with Magard dash and pinstriping but I quite like it fitted with discs on the front and some antitramp bars on the leafs on the rear, it’s got a tuned 1500gt engine which I’ll strip to see what’s been done and hopefully find some nice bits internally but the big question is what do I do with it?

I’d have the mk2 as just the rear axle has atlas axle strengthening plate vented rear discs watts linkage and I’m sure the rest of the car will be trying to rip that out of the shell and that is a mk4 RS turbo pre 90 spec

The idea is always great but to put it into practice is not worth the time and money unless you have too run it in a certain class etc go and buy a 2l zetec with bda cover and jenveys or turbo etc

What I do with it is the next question to myself though

One is a 5.5x13 mk1 wheel the other two are 7.5x13 RS

Got these back from the refurbisher today well happy as one of the 7.5s had a severe dent in the rim

What’s wrong with my Discovery 2 TD5 that tows the trailer and goes all over the country I ask? think I’m going to start looking for a late focus RS crash damaged and repair it she must be happy with one of those unless it will be to fast lol
