  1. Well it can't be trans fluid then. Must be engine oil, and it will need further investigation. ☹️
  2. Is it Auto or manual car, wonder if auto, the trans fluid could be mixing in the radiator. Do you have access to a cylinder head /block tester. The coloured fluid that changes colour, when sniffing the air in the coolant tank ? Could be head gasket, or cracked head or block.
  3. A lot of welding, that must be patch over patch over patch 😁
  4. Spin up the hub , check for noise, clean, inspect , re pack with grease.
  5. That was a lucky escape !
  6. I see what you mean now, I thought you meant the bar was worn where the bush goes on the front crossmember.
  7. I had the same problem on my MK1 Cortina. I just got some bushes that were smaller internal diameter.
  8. Unfortunately, if someone wants to steal it, whatever you have done to prevent it , won't be enough.
  9. Unfortunately, if someone wants to steal it, whatever you have done to prevent it , won't be enough.
  10. Hidden switch, on ignition only, so it cranks, but won't start. So it makes a lot of noise but never starts.πŸ˜€
  11. That's interesting, I thought they were all universal fitting πŸ€” Every day's a learning day 😊
  12. A quick google , I found this................... Kenlow fitting guide
  13. I'm pretty sure they were universal, so you could fit them in front or behind.
  14. Very nice............. I love the zoomy pipes😁
  15. I'd love a Tiger, did back in the day, but never did. ☹️
  16. Fix the slosh problem, and they look a good prospect πŸ‘Œ
  17. I believe they have a tendency to slosh out the filler cap , under hard cornering.😬
  18. Hello, What Old Skool Ford do you have ? Any pictures ?πŸ˜€
  19. Try Car and classic on line. I sold my ST170 Focus on there, and have had good success selling other classics on the site. I have only used the free ads, and not the auction though. click here
  20. Yes I do know its expensive. My point was if you are going to do it , do it right, not poorly. Right and poor cost the same.
  21. Yes I get what you are saying. My thoughts are , with a bit more thought and quality control , they could have been restoration shells also. If you can make a bad copy, why not make a good one.
  22. That's good first hand information πŸ‘ It's a great pity that after all the effort put in by Higgins to get the panels and shells produced cheaply in China , that the end product is so bad. It could have been cheap but good. πŸ™‚
  23. A few are JUX reg no , as mine is, but my van is KVO
  24. I have 2 SA imported Escorts, Sport and van, and 2 imported Cortina's. Swedish and Finnish Why, because they are not so rusty. Once you have sorted out all the bodge ups, and made them good, they are no different. I think there is a bit of snobbery with the MK2 Escort Sports from SA .😳
  25. Higgins are an Irish car dismantlers , that had panels and Shells made in China to sell on the UK market, and I guess world market. click here
