The NEC this year was an opportunity to look at new events for those of us who love to drive our OSF. I spotted this tour in Sept 2025 and thought I would highlight it for members to look at. The team that do many road runs for Ford fans in other parts of the country and Europe have launched a new one for 2025 which looks an amazing event following in the footsteps of the Isle of Man TT Racers. Attached is an initial tour advert I took a picture of. I know we struggle in the North for great road runs so it's certainly of interest to me. Any opportunity to open up the 2nd choke on the Escort is always an incentive 🤣 No helmets required but if leather is your thing go for it 🤣 If you have any questions contact Oliver on the advert number you can get from the website and mention you heard about it through OSF.

No it's not as I like it too appart from the Volkswagen Golf grille. But Ford don't follow this style of update. They turn cars into bricks - the Capri is case in point 🤣

Day 3 of the NEC Classic Motor Show ends on many highs for Old Skool Ford and @Ray 1300E Owners Club. There were some lows too though with the sad loss of two long standing local club members though at the time we were remembering the fallen 😢 Once again we worked very hard to put on the very best show for visitors and I think we succeeded in doing that once again, given the comments from all who came to the stands. Our special thanks go to Retro Ford Magazine Andy Ellis and John Waide who followed the clubs full journey to the show featuring all the cars and their stories. @Vistain my experience you don't get much for nothing today and often what you get for nothing isn't worth having unless it's from a good friend or in the case of classic cars a club member. £12 is mega cheap for club membership, particularly when it's one with so many members who have been there and got the t-shirt. Other clubs cost loads more. One thing is the same for all clubs though, if you are prepared to get involved you get more out. The fact that it's voluntary is a credit to the club in my view. Keep going Scott we need OSF to continue.

@Ray & @Rally Pack 2000 have said it all. There is so much support on this site it saves people loads of time and money so £12 is nowt as they say in gods country.

It sure will open a debate. I rebuilt an engine some time ago that was all furred up due to wrong antifreeze. What a mess @Nige65. Dont go there. It even furred up the area around the thermostat. in terns of blue it's your call. I did mine Ford black. Frost do a number of blues. Why not ring them. This is on their website

You should not use anything other than blue glycol on cast iron engines and heads. Preston pre mix is not suitable as it doesn't contain the correct anti rust agent. It is more suitable for alloy blocks. Be careful! Blue glycol is cheap and a 50/50 mix is easy to do. In terms of blue paint, Halfords used to do it or you can get it from Frost online. 😊

The trouble is our politicians are so out of touch with local people they won't even know price increases are being faked. If they did they wouldn't do anything. Our Prime Minister gets too many freebies to care 😡

As you know James, there is a bit of paperwork but it's really know different to before when sending to Australia. Brexit is used as an excuse for too many things. Just like Covid. Profit before service every time mate. 😡

Thank you for your info about Classic parts shack. It has looked dodgy for a while and they never answer questions 🤔. With respect to the auto correction of F Book we all know what it means 🤣 @Vista may be able to explain why.

It's very easy to do 10 posts. Just engage in club chat, tell us about your cars etc. The reason there is a need to do 10 posts is that people could just use the site to make a quick pound from members without actually having a Ford or caring about the club. We are not fleebay or any other on line auction site. Take part and be a member 😊
