  1. I've just remembered that many years ago, I made a set of kick panels for the front footwells of a mk1 Mexico out of hardboard and covered them in black vinyl, it looked good and was easy to keep clean, might try sourcing some brown vinyl for my Sport and giving that a go.
  2. I would like to breath new life into the parcel shelf in my Escort, I have though about using brown shoe polish as that is the colour of the interior panels, is there a product out there that might do the job rather than shoe polish?
  3. Looking good 👍
  4. Aerial on the roof?
  5. I can’t get my head around the use of the words ‘Tribute’ and ‘ recreation’ used to describe cars that aren’t the genuine article, in my day it was simply ‘replica’. A very nice motor all the same though!
  6. The orange Focus was the Mk2 ST, still new at the time, the blue RS's were the Mk1 👍
  7. I felt the same about 15 years ago when there was a row of almost identical blue mk1 Focus RS's, I could see the the future of the show there and then!
  8. I may have one at home, I’m away offshore at the moment so will check when I return home next week. it is off a Sport but might be correct, in fact I have a set of four.
  9. Excellent photos and a massive thanks to the photographers 👍
  10. Thanks Scott, that’s very generous of them 👍
  11. Is there a link to the photographer that was taking photos of the cars as they were driving through the moor?
  12. Fantastic weekend and and a huge thanks to all those involved in the organization of the event, already looking forward to next year and will be more prepared for the tour quiz (and will also listen to the better half's navigation instructions and not just follow others to the pub).
  13. Welcome to the club buddy 👍
  14. The gap between the front wheel arches and tyres looks dreadful!
  15. I might have to replace mine as the battery light on the dash glows regardless of engine revs, tried all the usual remedies that have already been mentioned but still no luck, back when I was a young apprentice, we got a box full of alternators and starters, stripped them down and refurbished them to a working standard, would do the same if I had the equipment!
  16. I’m back out at the moment, in Belfast and then a couple of weeks in the Irish Sea, will let you know when I get back 👍
  17. ‘Why can’t you have ‘beef stew’ as a password? Because it’s not stroganoff.’ ‘I went to the opticians last week and they told me I was colourblind. It’s come completely out of the green.’
  18. Welcome to the forum, you have made an excellent choice 👍
  19. One for RP to drool over 😎
  20. I've seen replicas for sale at between £265 - £330!
  21. I don't carry those sort of magazines around with me good sir!
  22. Yes, it's frustrating to have spare time and not be able to work on my classic, this job is totally weather dependent and we've had quite a few days of being weathered down, I will stick to by books and crosswords as still old skool at heart and need to keep the cogs of the old grey matter turning!
  23. That's great, I can hang on until you might possibly find a second but will take the one if not. Ironically I am on a survey vessel due to dock in Ijmuiden (Netherlands) in the next couple of weeks but P&P to my home address is ideal. Thanks, Nige.
  24. Me 👍
  25. Thanks, there was a Mk2 Mexico for sale down here last year with one of his hot Pinto’s fitted so will contact him and get a quote 👍
