20 mpg from a 1300 xflow auto.

30mpg on the motorway

 

:) Not too bad.

 

Awaits other engines with anticipation as the little bugger will be getting ripped out soon.

 

FI sounds useful too 8)

Im getting about 30 out of the 1300 in the mk2 cortina. If i took my time id probably get 35.

 

The Triumph used to do 25 if i went reaaalllyyy carefully. Id get about 15 out of it though.

about 10mpg if i drive it properly, :lol: lol or maybe about 20 ish if i drive it like an old doris (2.1 pinto with 45's) but i dont care really, its worth every penny :twisted:

When I first built it the consumption was Horrid, Racing at North Weald, I was getting 1mpg, Now its been set up correctly on a run using OptimaxI can easily get 32 to 35mpg, around town i get about 22.

Have nt got a clue :lol: but i have a dodgy fuel gauge at the moment :?

So i always carry a can of petrol with me. Anyway i always reset my trip meter after filling up, and after filling up, it ran out after 203 miles,

Anyone care to work it out for me :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Only time Ive checked it was on a run to lands end and back over a long weekend, 880 miles of varied driving worked out at 32 mpg,not bad at all I thought......go the V6 Essex lumps :thumbsup:

about 10ish if ya drive it how it wants to be driven and there aint no other way.just brimmed it full of lead from empty 54 SQUIDS nice and cheap at 1:50 a litre!

Old kackered 1.6 Pinto in my Capri : 32MPG.

Semi knackered 2L Pinto in my Capri: 33MPG.

 

Reconditioned 2L Pinto with 38DGV in my Capri running on Optimax: 37MPG.

My Escort did 115 miles on 30 litres (full tank :lol: )

 

So fook knows... I know it's not great,

 

but ya dont but a 2.1 pinto'd car with a short diff

 

to worry about fuel costs!! :wink:
