bmxdave Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Im getting about 30 out of the 1300 in the mk2 cortina. If i took my time id probably get 35. The Triumph used to do 25 if i went reaaalllyyy carefully. Id get about 15 out of it though.
allanmex Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 about 10mpg if i drive it properly, lol or maybe about 20 ish if i drive it like an old doris (2.1 pinto with 45's) but i dont care really, its worth every penny
V8ian Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 When I first built it the consumption was Horrid, Racing at North Weald, I was getting 1mpg, Now its been set up correctly on a run using OptimaxI can easily get 32 to 35mpg, around town i get about 22.
DEP Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Have nt got a clue but i have a dodgy fuel gauge at the moment So i always carry a can of petrol with me. Anyway i always reset my trip meter after filling up, and after filling up, it ran out after 203 miles, Anyone care to work it out for me
Paul_G Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 About 50 miles on a tenner depending on my mood, 75 on a run.
v6pop Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Only time Ive checked it was on a run to lands end and back over a long weekend, 880 miles of varied driving worked out at 32 mpg,not bad at all I thought......go the V6 Essex lumps
bortaf Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 37 on a run 28 round town, low 20's if i'm having fun i also love EFi Pinto Mk5 cortina

Gareth Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 My Escort did 115 miles on 30 litres (full tank ) So fook knows... I know it's not great, but ya dont but a 2.1 pinto'd car with a short diff to worry about fuel costs!!
fairlane500 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 About 15mpg if I go steady but easily ito single figures if I play Thats a 5.8 litre V8.Worth every penny just for the soundtrack
Supercharged Nat Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 32-34mpg on a motorway run, including some duel carriage and city driving. normal around town driving, im not sure but its certainly less than 20mpg! engine is a supercharged 2.0L pinto, in a capri.
RFChris Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 I have no idea, but a lot fooking more i should think because spooner has just converted it to a five-speed! Hoorah!
