whether your engine is a 1300 crossflow thru to a V8 in your ford, what kind of MPG do you get?!

i get 28 outta my 1.6 pinto mk5 cortina

25 outta my mk1 cortina gt

30mpg on the motorway

 

Not too bad.

 

Awaits other engines with anticipation as the little bugger will be getting ripped out soon.

Im getting about 30 out of the 1300 in the mk2 cortina. If i took my time id probably get 35.

 

The Triumph used to do 25 if i went reaaalllyyy carefully. Id get about 15 out of it though.

about 10mpg if i drive it properly, lol or maybe about 20 ish if i drive it like an old doris (2.1 pinto with 45's) but i dont care really, its worth every penny

When I first built it the consumption was Horrid, Racing at North Weald, I was getting 1mpg, Now its been set up correctly on a run using OptimaxI can easily get 32 to 35mpg, around town i get about 22.

Have nt got a clue but i have a dodgy fuel gauge at the moment

So i always carry a can of petrol with me. Anyway i always reset my trip meter after filling up, and after filling up, it ran out after 203 miles,

Only time Ive checked it was on a run to lands end and back over a long weekend, 880 miles of varied driving worked out at 32 mpg,not bad at all I thought......go the V6 Essex lumps

about 10ish if ya drive it how it wants to be driven and there aint no other way.just brimmed it full of lead from empty 54 SQUIDS nice and cheap at 1:50 a litre!

i'm running a dgv on my 2.0 pinto and can get 35 mpg on the motorway and about 25 round town, drive to work etc. but this is mixed driving. . bit of steady, bit of foot down

Reconditioned 2L Pinto with 38DGV in my Capri running on Optimax: 37MPG.

Mine is easy as fook on juice, had it about 6 months and havnt had to fill it back up yet! might be cuz its not going right nuf!

My Escort did 115 miles on 30 litres (full tank )

 

So fook knows... I know it's not great,

 

but ya dont but a 2.1 pinto'd car with a short diff

 

to worry about fuel costs!!

Thats a 5.8 litre V8.Worth every penny just for the soundtrack

32-34mpg on a motorway run, including some duel carriage and city driving.

 

normal around town driving, im not sure but its certainly less than 20mpg!

 

engine is a supercharged 2.0L pinto, in a capri.
